Today I received from the court a letter stating to place a legal notice in the local news paper that I am going to be changing my name. The paper that I have to place this in is a small weekly publication. I don't know how many people actually read it but don't see that there would be to many people I know reading it. I called the paper today but the lady I needed to speak with was out of the office. I'm hoping that she calles me back tomorrow.

So anyway I am one step closer to having my name be Bethany for real. 

Good for you Bethany Dawn!  One step forward is better than where we were?  I have my court forms too but for the sake of being as sure and certain as possible I may just sit on it till I have my first year of transition in.  And, to mangle Shakespeare, a rose by any name will still smell great.
