(Link deleted)

This was a guide that helped me a lot, so I wanted to share~
It seems pretty much complete, but I'm sure other guys have more tips to add to this, or things they've found to be true (or not) that were mentioned.

Well now that's frustrating. Can't you change the name of the link. There is a blog called "f** yeah". Can't you change it that way?

Ah, that-
The warning was mine, actually. I suppose I should edit it now so there's not any confusion.
(**Edited)

The explanation I got for it being deleted was in regard to my rank - it seems that you have to be at least "Family" before you can post links to other trans* sites.

That particular article is one of the most helpful I've ever found. Even if you don't have the link you can still find it by googling, 'The FTM's Guide to Looking Like a Hot Dude'.

Well duh! But good article. Too bad I look like a girl in any hair longer than an inch or so. But nice for you younger guys. Hey lookie, I'm wearing plaid.

I started reading the article, I havent finished it so I dunno if he has already mentioned it, but if anyone needs to know where to buy the slim fit shirts he keeps mentioning..

EXPRESS, I have three dress shirts from there that are nice slim fit and look great tucked in, they have fitted (which is what I wear), regular, and slim fit.

I think an article called "how to feel like a hot trans man/FTM" would be way more beneficial.

This article has it's limits. I don't buy the idea that you necessarily have to do what someone else thinks you do to, uh, look hot. Though at my age, don't think I need to worry about all that. :)

Because I have no idea how to feel like a hot trans man.

That is easy, wear a heavy binder, layers and go out into the summer sun, and then get into your car.

Hah LK you are so right. I did this today, plus help with a move and so on. I was thoroughly HOT! And I'm definitely a dude.  :)

Got the link from the other thread--this is a really great guide! I'm definitely going to be looking over the weight loss guide that it links to as well because I've been trying my best to lose weight for over a month now and have not seen even the tiniest bit of change yet.

Thanks for posting it!

Still I think plaid is not THAT bad...
On some people it is, but today it is worn by men and women, gay and straight alike. So I don't think it will make you look like a lesbian, actually.
What WILL make you look like a lesbian is a punk haircut and crazy colour, like poison/neon green or (BARF!) bright pink (but what transguy dyes his hair PINK anyway!?).

I'd like to know that as well...

I think plaid's fine so long as you can pull it off, and if you're a transguy, not dressing feminine otherwise.
It's probably much worse if a guy has a large chest - that can immediately get him pegged as female if he can't bind everything into invisibility, and if folks question why he's wearing guy's clothes, they might just assume he's a tomboy or a lesbian.

I came across that one once before. It was nice that he mentioned the Asian stuff. I've found a lot of cool stuff online through Korean websites. And guys look a lot more stylish over there I have to say after comparison shopping.

I guess as a general rule, extreme skinny jeans are out, but regular skinny jeans are fine. They're like a step or two below regular fit and if you don't have giant hips I think rocking them makes your legs look longer (you don't have the sagging, roomy crotch thing going on that makes you look shorter) and plenty of guys can look very hot in them.

I do a fair amount of people watching when I'm out and about and it seems plenty of people (both male and female) wear clothes that are too big for them. Probably because they're fixated on some sort of "flaw" they're trying to cover up. But wearing really over sized stuff just makes you look frumpy at best, and just a train wreck at worst.

Vest and ties are cool. That is one way to up your clothing game into more adult fashion.

I wear t-shirts because I don't give a hoot. But they're stylish t-shirts ;) Also, wearing t-shirts in the winter when you can wear a jacket or cardigan or something I think totally works and downplays the whole hiding-the-chest thing.

I notice there was no mention of shoes. I'm in that sucky realm of being a size 6 in mens shoes. Talk about impossible. I can get converse, or other sneakers no problem but every killer pair of mens shoes I find usually starts at a size 8. So i look for womens shoes that looks like mens shoes (luckily there are some).

I have to point out that in the bit about exercising he mentions to shoot for 10% fat. That's really borderline. Female athletes typically have around 15% (or more). Physically fit females would have 20%. Now if you've been on T for ages and your physiology has fundamentally changed because of it, and you're still young you can get closer to the 10%. Those are are just statistical figures of course, and individuals can vary, but generally to have too little fat is unhealthy.

i think he recommended just getting below 20%. 10% is more like if you know you're getting on t soon. he also emphasizes a healthy diet with enough nutrients, eating enough fat means you can safely lose more. especially the tummy fat that females have is used for extra energy in extreme marathons, that's probably the main reason why women have a higher fat percentage, the body is made for using stored fat as an energy source.

i have unintentionally given some elderly women a little fright once. was wearing my (sister's) favorite jacket, one that apparently squares my body off a little, a hat that goes well with it, and some jeans that my little brother only used once or twice before he undergrew them (of all things). walked into the women's locker room like that when going to the swimming pool (no binding), and it seems i read male enough that it took them nearly a second to realize it was just me. their bad eye sight might have helped a little, but it really is true that getting the figure right helps, even when not really meaning to present male.
