hi girlfriend, can i call you that, it seems a girly thing to do. Im 25 and have been a crossdresser since the age of 11, though not publicly. niall is my real name, though i prefer beth. Im straight, though there is times i really wish i was a girl, like now for instance. Im hoping to meet like minded people here, and hopefully someone i can meet up with too as i feel well alone at times

Hi Beth,

Welcome to Susan's. I hope you have read the site rules if not please do. Helps avoid any future misunderstnadings. Also be sure to check out the Wiki, lots of useful information there as well. You'll find us to be a friendly bunch. So fix yourself a cup of tea or other relaxing beverage, sit down take your shoes off and set a spell.

Good Journey,

Hi Beth,

Welcome to Susan's.  Yours is the first story of its kind that I have read here although I'm a newbie as well.  I'm sure there are others like you that may come out of the woodwork when they read your posts.  I'm a CD+ from Connecticut, and have met a lot of great people here.  I am sure you will enjoy your stay.  I look forward to hearing more from you.

Hi Niall,

I'm a CD from downunder and as you can see we're not alone here so relax and enjoy yourself. You might like to tell us a little more about yourself to start of the conversation. (I just love reading others stories ;D)

Im in manchester. I STARTED AT ABOUT 11 WHEN I HAD AN URGE TO try on a pair of my mums tights. I did and things picked up from there. I dressed whenever i had the chance to. Many times ive tried to deny it but it keeps coming back. At uni i built up a collection thanks to my girlfriend. At the end of that year i threw everything out as my girlfriend was getting upset by it. In the end we split up over a different thing but i still tried to deny myself. Now im sortta accepting it fully and am thinking of building up a collection of clothing though am scared to start.

Hi Niall,

I can relate to the work thing with computers. It's a pain when you come across something you'd love to share. I also haave chucked everything out in the past but always end up here again. Must be my destiny shining through I guess.

Niall:

You know the giving season is coming on us, and you could always go into some of the shops on the pretence of buying for friend, if you know your sizes.
It took a long time for me to get the courage to go shopping for my self, but now I have the confidence it is a real thrill.

Give it time and it will come

i know, sounds like a good idea, but unless i was buying for a bodybuilder girl i doubt that would pass. Maybe i just have to do the research on cd friendly shops. Ive contacted a group in my area so hopefully that may pay divedends

They really are not going to put that much thought into it. If you go to a place like Walmart or Fred Meyer, no one is going to pay any attention to you when you going through the checkstand. They are not going to look at the size as they are putting them in the bag. They are too busy and in a hurry to put them in the bag so they can get to the next person. Even before Melissa came out, I would go shopping at Walmart and pick clothes out for my self and then let her go pay for them. That happened lots of times. My Melissa has never had any problem shopping in boy mode or en Femme at Walmart, Fred Meyer, JC Penney, and local consignment shops. Trust me if you just relax no one is going to notice you or think twice or once about who you are shopping for.

If you want to go to a smaller shop like Fashion Bug, the ones in our area are Trans Friendly. We called ahead and got a name to ask for and got our own personal shopper when we arrived.

Good Luck  :)
It is also a really good idea to ask your local group where to go.

I'm with Shari here they won't notice the sizes and your sister could be your alibi and it wouldn't be surprising at all if she was near your size. A good alibi before hand helps to save you at those pressure point moments.
