When I first opened the page to look for the pointless poll of the day, I saw this same title and thought, well, hey!  I'm not the only one that alligns their bed to face a certain direction.
Imagine to my chagrin, they were referring to the way the person's face was positioned.

So, here is my version. If you lie in bed on your back, looking toward your feet, with your head at the headboard end of the bed, in which geographical direction are you looking?

I always allign my bed to look north. Always. For as long as I can remember. I wonder if I would do the opposite if I lived in New Zealand?

I think it's South though I'm not quite sure.

My cousin when young was a New Ager who recommended sleeping aligned with magnetic north, it's better for your qi or something. Currently the head of my bed is toward the east, I guess because it fits best into the design of the room that way. Actually, given the placement of the house, it's more like northeast by east. Your question asks which way my feet are pointed, so it's southwest by west. I should write a novel.

I'm directionally challenged, if you tell me which way is North, I can't tell you which way is South.

Direction I face when I sleep?  I face the patio door.

my feet are pointing east, so when the sun rises in the morning it shines through my giant window and blinds me every morning.

my bed is north-south... and my feet are on the north end.

I selected east by mistake before I'd understood the question. Actually, I should have selected west. Way to skew the poll...

i find it best to carry a small compass with me wherever i go so that whatever bed or ditch i wake up in, i know which way i pointed

I face the door or whatever the direction of the possibility of the highest threat. In the apt. with Melissa it's different cardinal direction from the house.
