Chinwork_soon

Hi all

i am a 23 y .o TS. i am looking to get my chin done with Dr. O. i had an email consult with him and he told me he will be able to fix my chin. i also had a phone consult with dr Z and he also told me he would be able to fix my chin.

the reason i want to go to dr o is that i have a chin implant and I hate it. Dr z would remove my implant and replace it with another one and i dont want another chin implant or an incision beneath my chin!

Dr o does it intraorally and uses my own bone as a sliding genioplasty, but my concern is the lack of recent results!

thanx.

Hi, I had FFS with Dr O in April which included a sliding genioplasty. You can see some pictures by clicking on my web link on my profile (next to the email button). Height and width of my chin was diminished by 5mm each. No change was made to projection. I did not detect dimples on the side of the jaw which used to be common with sliding genioplasties, and so it appears that he has been refining his technique relative to say, 20 years ago. In your case, the geometry of your jaw will be affected differently as it seems you'd like to slide your chin outward. As you do so, your mento-labial fold will deepen. He can fill that with bone paste.

I too am interested in recent Dr. O results, I'm nearly 49 and finally looking fervently into FFS...At my age, I'm trying to maximize the chances of having a very-favorable outcome, with less regard for the cost.

Thanks to those who may read this rather outdated post and offer some current insight.

Hugs,

Allie

Haha - Dr O. Sounds like someone from a x rated movie if you write it that way.
is it not allowed to mentione full names in the forums? I know who Dr O is - famous even when I transitioned 15 years ago with people flying over to him to get ther face changed, but wonder why his full name is not mentioned?

I sometime think I may need some of his work at some time. But I am way too scared to think of that. I dont do well with surgeries and have no clue if it would benefit me anyways.

Ha, ok, so he calls himself "Dr O" - thats cool. I was just wondering why there was not the full name mentioned here - is it not allowed? On the website linked there is his full name of course

Haha, funny how this thread has morphed from a discussion about recent FFS results to comments about the name of the surgeon...fwiw, if I had to venture a guess, I'd say that spelling out the whole name might be problematic for some...it's much easier to abbreviate :)

Hugs,
