So I thought my period had finally ended last month since it didn't come, it came back today this morning. It's getting frustrating. I been a year on t and it's still here. Any ideas why? I been told by other transguys that my dosage is waaaaaaay too small to end my period, but last bloodwork shows my t levels at 790. I don't know what's going on here but I wish it would just stop. I don't have $ at the moment for new bloodwork and to see a dr. so I'll have to wait. If you know what it could be or if you've been in a similar situation please let me know. Thanks.

I personally started out with a really low dose, but gradually increased it during the first year.  I think my period stopped completely around 6 or 7 months?  I'm not sure how low your dose is (I know we're not supposed to talk specifics here) but it sounds like it would be worth it to try increasing your dose a bit! Personally, I increased my dose before returning to my doctor, and she was totally comfortable with it when I returned a bit earlier for a refill. But we had had some prior discussion about me gradually increasing my dosage, so I'm not sure that's something that all docs would feel okay about.

My dosage is the same as when I began t. And has changed to once every two weeks. So it's gotten smaller then I suppose.

No one but a doctor should really change you dose because there's a lot of factors that go into what your dose should be.  For example, if the doctors notice bad results in risk factors, like RBC, cholesterol or HDL and LDL levels, then they're not going to want to raise dose because that'll only get worse.  I think you should stay where you're at and listen to docs, not other transguys.  If you have decent levels of T then maybe you're getting too much T and it's converting to too much oestrogen.

Wait until you have the $s to go back to a doctor (see a doctor before you get new labs, if your dose hasn't changed they likely won't be much different from your last blood work results) and get their opinion.  Maybe you'll find there's a reason they haven't changed your dose up or down, maybe it's been overlooked, but as for what it should be, leave that to the docs and the docs alone.  Doses shouldn't really be discussed with other guys anyway because everyone's body is different and everyone needs different amount.
