I haven't seen a thread like this, so thought I'd start one.

People are critical on themselves as it is, and trans people are even more critical often times hyper critical. With all the do I pass or not? Or I have this masculine feature and that masculine feature etc. I thought it'd be nice to post what you are grateful for. Post here what features you are lucky to have that you find feminine about yourself, or just things in general that make you feel good about yourself!

I guess I'll start!

I'm grateful that I have little to no body hair
I'm finally grateful that I'm skinny (I used to hate it, tried to gain weight forever)
I'm grateful I haven't gone bald like both my brothers (I feared that day forever)
I'm grateful that my gestures are naturally feminine ( I used to be really self conscious of it)

Now don't feel like you're bragging that's not the point. Believe me I have a way longer list of things I'm not grateful for. The point is to make you feel good about yourself

Such a great idea! :)

Things I'm thankful for:

  • Loving and supporting mother & friends
  • HRT!!! I never functioned well with T.
  • Natural feminine traits ( deportment, mannerisms )
  • Being about as naturally feminine as this thin 6" girl can be, with small hands & feet

Thanks!

And that is a good one, how superficial of me lol!

I'm thankful for having the most loving caring man to be my partner, and who is 100% supportive of my transition  :D

good thread idea!!

I am thankful for my amazingly supportive and open minded friends.

...for the fact that I'm not overly tall (used to drive me crazy being on the "short" side...)

...for my innately feminine nature (and balance, posture, grace, etc)

...for my years of physical training and fitness

...for my amazing room mate who shares my shoe size and has enough cosmetics for five women ;)

...for candiFLA's videos on youtube, and how much better my voice has gotten since I watched them.

...for this amazing forum, and the community here, whom I have learned so much from :)

...For Lady Gaga, and the inspiration and strength that her music gives me every day.

For the masculine seeking folks,

I am grateful for having a full head of hair. . .

For being at a healthy weight, and being one who enjoys working out. . .

For Beachbody for making the Body Beast workout program (I *heart* Sagi Kalev). . .

For all the great things I've learned having to live as a female. . .

For being employed. . .

For having a place to live. . .

For good luck, ambition, and self-determination that gives me the drive to make my life better.

For the masculine seeking folks,

Yes indeed all are welcome, I only mentioned feminine as it's in the MTF subsection. But by all means everyone is welcome of course  :-*

I am grateful that my misery and my pain forced me to overcome my fears.

I'm grateful for life however I should have changed genders early in life. I've always been a girl since early childhood however it seems there was never a right time for a complete MTF change. On & off HRT for most of my life. Full time as a normal woman for several years on & off. Now I'm older with a somewhat male body & it will be more difficult for SRS however I'm still a girl/woman at heart & very proud of that.
mtF, mid 50's, always a girl since childhood, HRT (Spiro, E & Fin.) since 8-13. Hormone levels are t at 12 & estrogen at 186. Face lift & eye lid surgery in 2014. Abdominoplasty/tummy tuck & some facial surgery May, 2015. Life is good for me. Love long nails & handsome men! Hopeful for my GRS & a nice normal depth vagina maybe by late summer. 5' 8", 180 pounds, 14 dress size, size 9.5 shoes. I'm kind of an elegant woman & like everything pink, nice & neet. Love my nails & classic Revlon Red. Moving back to Florida, so excited but so much work moving

I'm grateful that even though I just started HRT not even a month ago, that tonight is the 2nd time in just 2 days that someone gendered me as female. Even though they knew I was genetically male, at least they got what I was putting out there

Also like said above to have a job, one that I love and that I just got promoted to store manager, at a beauty supply at that!!

I also have a roof over my head and it's probably the swankiest place I've lived in since I was a kid. Things are really looking up right now. Last 10 years or so were kind of rough job & personal wise, so I'm glad everything is coming to fruition and that I'm starting transition. Better late than never  :P

Thanks Harlow. I tried to start a thread like this a few months back but it didn't take.

I'm grateful that I have two bright, healthy children, that I live in a supportive area where LGBT folks are accepted, that I have a great job and that I have enough intelligence and insight to do it.

I'm grateful that I grew up in a loving family with conscientious parents and a sister I remain close with to this day.

Regarding my transition, I'm thankful that I pass well enough that few people read me as trans. I'm thankful for my A-cup breasts, thankful that I can leave the house every day showing the world who I am.

I am thankful that I accept myself, so that I have never been ashamed of the feelings that being transgender brought and have never felt that they made me strange or sick.

And I'm really, really, thankful that I've been able to accept the limitations of my male body.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

My family,
My home,
My job,
My kitties and my dog,
Living my life the way I want to,
Finding my niche,
Being able to play a mean guitar,
Having a big, loving heart.
"Peace came upon me and it leaves me weak,
So sleep, silent angel, go to sleep."
