I am presently uninsured, and likely to remain so until possibly sometime next year.  I hope to begin HRT by the end of this coming January, and one of my prime concerns is that I haven't been able to find any information on the cost of the blood work involved sans-insurance.  Does anyone have any advice where this is concerned?  Recommended doctors or clinics to use once I reach that point?  I have a few local contacts, and will be talking to my psych therapist after we reach that point as well, of course.

Contact Chase Brexton. They are an LGBT clinic with locations in Baltimore (Mt Vernon area) and Columbia.

I am insured so I can't tell you the cost of bloodwork or anything, but I am pretty sure they work with uninsured based on a sliding scale.

If they don't, you can try Whitman Walker in DC. They do informed consent HRT and I know for sure their costs are on a sliding scale.

Thank you!  I will be getting in touch with them about specifics as soon as someone returns my call.  I think I tried to contact them a few years back and met with this same problem, so I will pester them daily until I get some form of reply.

On an unrelated note, you look FANTASTIC!  I am seriously jealous of your face x.x
