Hey if you dont have visible brows because they are blond or such, there is always the option to use a browliner and make them look like you desire. My mom always did that when she was younger as she had very blond brow hairs.

Oh and to Alisha - be careful about plucking the hairs on the top side (top left in the images). Just thin it a little bit there if it is really needed. Generally most instructables will tell you not to pluck much or anything at all from the top, so that the lower part is a line, the upper part is more fuzzy - that looks more natural than sharp lines at both sides.

Of course you are right but you know how it is, we always want some attribute that someone else has that is so much better than our own. My mom was from a generation where women actually shaved their eyebrows off and then penciled them in. I always thought that they looked so phony and severe, but that was their style then, stupid as it seems.

Very true! I thought about leaving the top trim part out, maybe I should modify it

I'm currently nine months in on hormones and would kindly appreciate opinions on my passing ability, at least as far as can be determined by my horribad selfie-taking abilities. (I know I am dressing androgynously and without make-up of any sort, but I like a natural look--maybe I should move on to light makeup eventually?)

Alice, you look nice. Love your hair, let it grow longer. Most all women use makeup to look better. To me you need to learn to use makeup for your face, lipstick, etc.... Your eye brows are way too thick, thin & shape them better with more of a curve. Have you ever colored your hair? Why not try some different colors. Have fun young girl, you look great!

      You're cute enough, but Francis is right about the makeup. I don't wear makeup of any sort because I'm androgynous and kind of an average/homely type. You on the other hand are pretty and should use a little makeup to enhance that pretty face. You're hair is fine, but you could fine tune those eyebrows like Francis said and put a little arch in them. Good luck, you're looking good hon!

oh my god you did it and you look wonderful.. i'm still afraid to do it..does it hurt?

Hehe, just the usual level of pain a woman has to endure for being a bit more pretty - Naj, it does hurt a little bit sometimes, but if you ever waxed your legs or arms - plucking eyebrows is nothing compared to that . Go ahread, try it, it takes only half an hour or so (the first time, then you get faster) and I think it will make a big difference.

It hurts a little more while plucking using your off-hand (in my experience), but thats just because it's harder to tweeze effectively with it. It really doesn't hurt that bad either way though

Also, I've been told that pulling my fringe back doesn't do wonders for my long(-ish) face. Is there a hairstyle anyone with experience could suggest that would suit my look?

It might be worth the small expense of going to see a reputable stylist and get a professional opinion based on the shape of your face, the height of your forehead and all the other considerations you and she might decide to factor in that would be best for you.

I like the bald look, just goes to show you don't necessarily need long hair to look feminine or to look beautiful.
