Jeremy

Hi, my name is Jeremy, I am a straight, married male from Washington state. I found this site and have been lurking for a couple weeks, and thought it was time to introduce myself.
I am 26, and my wife is 23. We have been married for almost 3 years.  For the past 4 years we have been in a FLR (female led relationship), which i introduced to her while we were dating.
About 2 months ago, my wife confronted me and told me she had always felt like a gay man trapped in a woman's body. Of course, I was confused, and stunned to say the least! She assured me that she is and had always been attracted to me and that would never change.
I sort of accepted that over the following weeks, but then, just last week, she told me of her desire to transition to male. She suggested to me, to learn about what's involved, to seek support, and to be understanding and accepting of her.
My mind is swimming, and I don't even know where to begin searching.  I do know I love her, and I do want to be supportive of her, because of so many reasons. The main reason is because she was supportive of me in the past.
I have so many questions, so many thoughts, I don't know where to go

Thanks for the welcome, and advice! Its amazing how much info is on this site, and I look forward to meeting people, learning, etc. I am not good at acronyms, but will learn them, as I can see its important, and can be less confusing! I am really confused, like as to if or when I should call my wife a FTM. But that's why I am here, to learn, thanks for the welcome

Hi Jeremy, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 7597. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another SO.

Thanks, for the warm welcome! It takes the edge off, like taking a deep breath! I have been a member of a forum like this, meaning set up the same way, but a forum for FLR, not transgender, so I am sort of familer how to navigate it, and will try to look/post on the right topics if I can.

Hey Jeremy,

Welcome to the site, and you are not alone!

I'm an FTM married to a straight male. My husband lurks on this site occasionally...I'll have to let him know there's finally another male spouse of an FTM around - he'll be thrilled! It's an underrepresented demographic for sure, and support specific to straight male SO's of transmen is pretty much non-existent.

Good on you for taking the initiative to do some learning...ask lots of questions!

See you around the site :)
