Hi everyone,

I had a car accident a few months ago, and I got a terrible scar on my forehead. I went for a consultation with a reputable plastic surgeon today and I told her that I will give a call in order to book the surgery. First of all the doctor doesn't know that I am transsexual and I don't see any reason disclosing that. Second I have had permanent fillers injected in my forehead and I am afraid that there may be some under the scar. I was thinking a lot and I don't know how to explain the dermal fillers or should I just act like nothing is there. I don't think the dermal fillers will in any way compromise the surgery. I also have some scars from my hairline lowering surgery... In case she asks me I can say that it is from modified forehead lift. Any thoughts?

What kind of permanent fillers you have in your forehead?

Glad to hear things went well :)

Did they comment at all about any of the work? Did you end up telling them anything more?

The appointment went well, the doctor and i decided about the way she will excise the scar. In the or she said several times that everything is going smooth, she didnt ask anything and finally the surgery was over. I am glad i didnt say anything about my ffs and my transition.

Just to let everybody know the healing was not that smooth as I expected it to be. I had the stitches removed on the 9th postoperative day and the wound opened about 3 mm. The doctor suggested we leave the wound open for several days and today I got it restitched. There was no sign of infection, just a small seroma under the skin that is the possible cause of the wound opening. Anyway I am not sure if it was all related to the previous procedures...

Oooh, that had to be disappointing. It's good you are managing it closely. I am sure it will heal fine in time.  Still, not fun.
