Well, Lajs, even if you'd come up on the other side, I can tell you that I (and I'm not the only one) will generally appreciate men who "think female" in a special way. And well, yeah, this is about thought processes and where your intelligence "specializes". As you yourself said it has little to do with gender identity. Heck, pretty sure many people would be proud of having a brain of the other gender, in a way.

I got a 50 score on the female side, which falls under average women. Honestly it is a interesting test, but so many people think different. So if it is accurate in anyway I can't tell you but eh.

Still fun to do, even more when I was pulling my ruler out looking rather dorky measuring my fingers hehe, thank goodness no one saw that!  :D

I don't think it's utter nonsense. It does seem to indicate typically male and female lines of thinking. No one should confuse this and gender identity, though. If it were the same, we'd have to force a lot of female scientists and male psychologists to transition.

Oh, that's SO true. But parts of the test are SO funny...

My personal result is that I'm out of the box.

Doesn't say anything. And I have a different result each time I try this test. What does this tell about me?

Could I do this test in German please? I had so many words but couldn't think of the correct English translation.

Ultimatum

If you had to split £50 with someone, you said you would demand £25

So far on the Sex ID test, men have demanded 51.6% (£25.80) of the pot and women have demanded 51.0% (£25.50), on average.
What's the point in dividing it unevenly? I know, the other person does only get money if he/she accepts... but isn't it unfair not to claim 50%...?

Which brings me to the point: How do they decide who is male and who is female for the last test?

I don't think they do. I think the scores are averages based on the reported gender of the test takers. So, if a test has little gender leaning, the score averages will be similar. For the word association test, all it looks for is number of words, so typing in German probably would have been just fine.

I'll add my scores too.
Personal brain score: 50 (average female)
Angles: 18/20
Spot differences: 86%
Hands: left thumb on top
Empathising: 12
Systemitising: 13
Eyes: 5/10
Fingers: R .98, L 1.01
Faces: Feminine preference
3D Shapes: 6/12
Words: 14 for grey, 10 for happy
Ultimatum: 20 quid for me, please.

too many steps. these thingys never are accurate interesting none the less

Lo

I've always gotten more "masculine" results on these things, no surprise. I scored 50 on the male side for this one.
  •

Jasriella

My brain is super weird lol, I scored in the middle. Very good at the shapes, and emotional apparently lol.

Oops, apparently my straight cis, very masculine husband scored 50 on the "female" side.  ::)
  •

Epic-Space-Rodent

I scored about 25 on the male side. Weird thing is, my finger ratio is 1.08 for both hands. Even more feminine than the average woman. I guess I wasn't exposed to much testosterone in the womb.

I did that, but it only counted one word which is the same in German and English.

Oh! Well, then I guess all you can do is keep a personal count, then.

:D How'd he respond to that?

I already closed the window so I can't say what the results were specifically, but it was about 1/3rd the way toward female on the test.

I don't buy into tests like this. That being said, it's interesting that most of us match.

am i an engineer or a scientist...?
linguists should count as scientists, especially the types who study grammar rather than just aim for proficiency in whichever language. i almost regret not becoming an engineer though.

As a woman who transitioned to be female I scored 50 which is the average for women who have taken the survey.

I believe that transition caused my brain to become more typically female with time.

I scored in the middle, with a slight tendency towards male. Oh no! So I am a guy. someone should have told me 13 yearsa go when I had SRS. LOOL - no really, this test looks quite flawed. So I got high scores interestingly on the finger thing - index is longer than ring finger with me. I scored goot at the image difference, very good at the emotional and eye thing, but I think what "ruined" my score in terms of coming out as more male is that I am a scientist by profession - and a geoscientst at that. So I use spatial thinking every single day and am quite good at it or I would not have managed to get a PhD. Plus I scored horrible on the word finding thing because I am not english. So I dont think the test is really that good. In many of the parts male and female scores are very close together, I think it is hard to judge by such small differences.
So girls and guys dont give too much on that ;)

  •

A

As I said earlier, the test's name is misleading. The test doesn't test gender; it tests gender-type thinking. Basically, statistically men are better at spatial thinking. Therefore if you're good at that you have good male-type thinking. You can have equal or higher female-type thinking scores to offset it, which will place you closer to the middle.

Also, the finger ratio thing is supposed to be scientifically proven relatively well. I think the reason we stray so much from the given values is that we don't have the scientific way of measuring them and different people are probably gonna measure differently.
