I'm having big issues lately i know what i want but so many people tell no and  other wise i want to go for a SRS but i will lose all my friends and family i know i should do what makes me happy and i want to so bad but i don't want to lose everyone i care about or just getting harder my boss at work said do what makes me happy and i so want that and then there is the whole not getting it done and just take E for a while till i get the gust to do it but even then going clothes shopping will be a hassle I'm not scared not ashamed but I'm lost and need help i have nobody to help me through it all just having one person could help but nobody stands at my side which hurts more than i thought i am losing the will to fight for what i want and now I'm miserable some one one help

It sounds like you need a guide for helping you sort these issues out and plan for what you really want done.

Generally this is handled by a therapist with experience with gender identity issues. I see a good one myself and I highly recommend the process. She keeps up with me, knows what I want done, and helps me plan to get to that lofty height.

So grab a phone book or google it up.

If they care about you you won't lose them. I told my old friend thru texts that I was trans and my BF was like what are you doing and why do you care? Forget about these people. They're your past and if they cared so much about you then why did they watch you suffer like you did. He is right.

I agree with the therapist recommendation.  It's a good way to talk things out and to start making plans.  Mine has been helping me maintain the relationships in my life and has been a valuable resource for me.

Of course, you can also ask us non-professionals for help.  We can't replace the pros, but we can lend an ear and offer limited assistance.

In most cases everything you loose is replaced by new gains. New friends, perspectives, a new life, ect.

Yes you loose things no doubt about it. I lost my family for the most part but hey I found inner peace and I can tell you that is worth more than anything.

lostshiro: One of the biggest worries we all have is what will happen when we take our journey. I think bad things can and do happen, but to be honest the balance seems to be that more good than bad occur. A gender therapist is a must. One of the critical things about gender dysphoria is that it will NEVER go away. You may suppress it, you can hide from it, but there is only one cure - you deal with it.

you'd have to choose who's more important, your female self or your girlfriend. abandoning yourself might not be the wisest choice ever, it's hard to live your entire life as a liar. you can see that on how many older women are transitioning as they finally are forced to face themselves. you might also be happier with a girlfriend who loves you for who you are rather than being particular about your body parts.

you don't sound like you're on e yet. that would probably be a better place to start, along with therapy. srs is something you get when you know that you like what e is doing to your body and mind. your body needs sex hormones, and it's important to be certain that opposite sex hormones feel better than same sex hormones before you get rid of the organs that produce those hormones. you'll be taking hormones for the rest of your life after orchiectomy, and it would be pointless to do that if e isn't right for you.

This sure and the purple are amazing thanks all who helped me well going clothes shopping soon just got paid so I'll starte soon then find a therapist in ky hopefully find a true blue lover and i well post done updates soon to I'll hang in there and one more thing are there anything in this works as free anymore lol why should a guy/girl who is supposed to help me have to get paid for it but oh well it's worth it
