Before and after thread?

Mr.X

It seems we have a 'Do I pass' and 'You look badass' thread, but what about a before and after thread? Did I miss it, or does it not exist? I would love to see some pictures of pre-everything guys, then maybe a few months or years later after T or other treatments. It always gives me hope, and is a good motivation to continue travelling on this hard journey to happiness.

What do you guys think?

I think it's a good idea. I also think it would help people pre-T if they know they want to be on T. It would answer questions like "what does T  do?" and so on. I agree it would be a hopeful thing to some as well. I am up for doing it as well. Of course some of my pictures pre-T are quite a bit younger!

Hehe, I'm liking this idea.
This might also help those who are already on T but feel like they're not having any changes since other people can usually point them out better. If you catch my drift, I'm having hard time getting sensible sentences out. <head-desks>

I just made a comparison smash-up of pre-T vs. ~9 months on T.
The only differences I see are the eyebrows and the oh so painfully obvious acne caused by T.

There used to be a private FTM section where there was a before and after thread. I can't find the section now. Does is exist still?

The just for us section is part of the subscribers only deal now I think.  Apparently the before and after thread was moved there because of people taking the photos, so it was thought that it was safer to have it there, only now not all of us can access that section.

Yeah we used to have one filled with before and after pictures of guys but I do believe it was in the just for us section, which is now subscriber-only.

Well for people who are out or for people who feel that no one would likely see these pictures, it might be comfortable. I think not everybody would want to post. But that's okay as some people would never post pictures. It might be helpful to have them in the nonsubscribers section, as I think that people who subscribe (sorry but I have only ONE charity right now-- my top surgery!) are those who are more committed to the community and probably doesn't happen right away. Would be nice for some newbies to see what T (and perhaps other stuff) does.

Strange, there's a before/after thread sat quite happily public over in the MTF section...

If that's the case we should see if we can start one here.

The question was asked one time (other than this question) where is the before and after FtM before and after thread.  In my personal speculation, I believe that thread was nearly unobtainable  because of a certain nasty blogger would steal pictures of guys and post them up on her FtM hating blog in order for others to shame them.  Of course, it's just my speculation though.

Mr. X if you want to start a before and after thread for the guys I don't think most people would mind.  A mod might even pin it for you or overm ove the other thread here (though probably less likely).

Hmm, I think you might be right re: this blogger.

Personally, I would find it very motivating and useful to have a thread like this. I even find looking at the MTF thread encouraging and I've always wondered why we shouldn't have one on our side of things.

I think that would be a good idea. I love looking at comparisons :) it makes me happy that they have come so far. And it gives me hope for my transition too.
