I just got my influenza vaccine for this season:  19 Sept 2013

I have to get one, because I am a heart patient.  And I go to cardio rehab with a bunch of geriatrics, so I don't want to give them the flu ... it could kill them.

So, how about you?

I got my last one some time in the 90s and haven't had the flu since. 

Got my last flu shot around 12 a.m Christmas morning at Wallgreens.  The guy who gave me my shot said I'm the first person to come in to get a shot on Christmas.  Then we talked about video games.

Oh my god you nag.

I am overdue.

I'll re-up as soon as I get a chance.  

I get mine every year Jamie.

I am getting mine the next time they give then out for free at school or when I see the bigsigns for them at the pharmacy.

If you get the strain that we have had this winter, make sure you get shot. It has taken none immunised healthy adults out for up to 4 weeks off work.

I've never had a flu shot. The last time I actually got the full blown flu was like back in the mid eighties, since then I sometimes get a touch of it, but only the initial symptoms and the weird taste in my mouth and then I get better. I think not eating my veggies helps...

Never had one and I've been fine. The last time I was actually sick (with fever and all) was in 2008 or 2009 which is kinda weird considering my lifestyle is far from overly healthy...

When I was a kid I got the flu really bad and was bedridden for about two weeks. I haven't had it since then. I once started a new job and shortly thereafter the entire department was out with the flu - EVERYONE - except for me LOL.....

I've never had the flu jab or the flu.  It's being offered to me for free this year with my work and I'm not sure if I'm going to take it or not.  I probably will because I'm living in a close space to 209 other people so illnesses are going to going around like wildfire.

I'll never accept one again after my '08 experience. Three days later I came down with the nastiest one I'd ever had and I know it was because of the "live attenuated" virus in that shot. Worse, I was a UPS 'runner' at the time... twelve to thirteen hours of non-stop, flat-out running. Doing that with this particular flu literally about killed me as I was getting lung spasms and such. Really couldn't breathe over half the time but I also couldn't quit either (wanted a hub position. Didn't get it. But I didn't give up. At least I tried. Proud of that). Went back for peaks '09 and '10, didn't get the jab and didn't get the flu either. But that one there lasted clear from early December to about early February. Absolutely not the typical flu at all. So never, ever again for me.

Boy oh boy.  Has this public serviced announcement come back to bite me on the butt!  LOL

not this year.  no medical insurance.

Haven't since i was 5.

Generally vomiting is not a symptom of the flu besides in young children.
