Kristal

Hello Ladies, Gentlemen and Others!

I've been thinking on this for a while and I believe I may have a winner! I've decided on, drumroll please:

Thank you, Benny...

Kristal Magiere (pronounced Mah-zhear) [Last name withheld due to reasons]

Story time!

Kristal (usually shortened to Kris) is the name of a character I've been roleplaying for well over a decade now. I've always played more female characters than male when I'm gaming, but Kris was the only one I played consistently across many games. Looking back, she WAS me, or at least a version of me who was happy with herself. Everyone else was just a stereotype or a gimmick that I wanted to try out. Kris was the me I always wanted to be. So to thank her for allowing me to be myself, even if only in my mind, I'm going to use her name as my own.

Magiere doesn't have a cool story behind it, sorry. I heard the name once and it stuck with me. I believe it's French, but I can't find much info on it. It's so beautiful and flowing, and it sounds great coming right after Kristal. Kristal Magiere... I can't help but type them in italics, because that's how it sounds!

Anyways, what do you think?

Hi Kristal.  It's a nice name.

Maybe you can add your favorite female gaming character as your avatar, and the name Kristal to Septet in your forum profile.  But that kind of stuff is personal so don't listen to me.  :)

Very nice name indeed. That reminds me, my name originally came from Sabrina the Psychic Pokemon gym leader from the old school red / blue version. I've liked the name ever since.

Sabrina (Hafren in Welsh-the 'f' sounds like an English 'v') is the Goddess of the River Severn (Afon Hafren in Welsh). She is nearly two miles wide where I live and sunrise or sunset over the river is a glorious thing to witness. There is also the Severn bore which is one of the most gob-smackingly humbling things I have ever witnessed. Millions and millions of tonnes of water flowing upstream.

So, a very beautiful and powerful name you have there.

Rosie.
Well that was fun! What's next?

I always liked the teenage witch - sometimes I felt she "explained it all."

I'm nameless... though I have some ideas kicking around. I've been trying to match my initial and am working with Tarah. I've also tried Téa.

Thank you, everyone! As a side note, I asked my parents what they were going to call me if I had been born female. My mom said Mildred and my dad said Constance Lee. My dad is the kind of guy who would have named me Ima if our last name was Hooker...

Sabrina, she is my favorite Kanto Gym Leader too! I do enjoy Psychic-type, though my favorite is Ghost. I also like the "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" show. It's a mystical name, lovely and powerful.

Kabit, those are both great names! Téa reminds me of Téa Gardner from Yu-Gi-Oh, who was a great character, even if she didn't do much. (She had Distressed Damsel Syndrome) I know a Tara in real life. She's a sassy redhead who loves hippos and supervillains.

I remember both Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Clarissa Explains It All. I see the actress doing Nutrasystem commercials now... lol. I never new Sabrina was such a powerful name. Learn something new every day! Both Tarah and Téa are great names.
