To be honest I'd just get home as soon as possible. People try to dilate on the way home and all that but I didn't. I went for 28 hours without dilating. I got home, made myself a nice dinner, took a hot shower, relaxed a little and then finally did dilation 28 hours after my last session. Yes, it took a little longer to get to depth but I didn't a single millimeter. Honestly I think it would be more a hassle to get into a hotel, sleep, and then continue the rest of the journey than to just come all the way home. I had a super long flight too.

wow that's a very long flight. And i was already getting restless and maybe even a bit claustrophobic with a flight that just takes half a day.

Well, my flight from door to door was only about 20 hours, but then I had 3 hours layover in Taipai, and you count the time getting to and from the airport, then a couple hours to make dinner and take a shower and you get to 28

The point is that there's a reason the clinic keeps saying "don't worry" about the flight home, because it's true. 🙂 My flight home was definitely not comfortable, but I survived and so did my vagina.

Though i would wish that they started to say less "it's normal" and "don't worry". Sure it might be normal, but that doesn't change that i'm in pain! 😛

Yeah, I feel you on the pain. There's quite a bit of pain to deal with in this surgery overall.

Still 59 days but I am already getting pretty nervous.

Don't worry Laura, it's normal to get nervous. I was nervous too, but everything went okay. 🙂

Don't be nervous... easier said than done, I know, but as a Suporn daughter, I can tell you they treat you like family, and care for you very thoughtfully. You'll have more than enough painkillers given you as you need them, and his complication rate seems very very low. You're in as good hands as you can be, and when you wake up, you will be elated. Prolly also pukey, freezing cold, or dizzy (haha), but elated. 🙂

I still have to sit out 45 days before getting my SRS. I am gradually getting more and more nervous as the big moment is approaching. It is pretty hard to wait for another 6 weeks. I don't know how others did survive the waiting time but obviously they did.
I feel it is devouring me and I am tired to wait.

dunno. I had a lot of stuff to do up to a month before surgery, so i had no time to think about the surgery and then i concentrated on beating as many games as i could before going. I really had to force myself to think about it so i could write the thread i posted

I arrived yesterday at chonburi, met mr Jetlag last night, quite tired now. Just saw dr suporn. I am looking forward to my SRS on Wednesay.

Oh and say hi to everyone from Joana, if they even remember me . Oh and they might like to know that i've went from my initial 14.5cm to almost 18cm! And pet the cat for me! And how's the weather in November? oh and try to lie on your sides often and don't overdo it with the morphine! And the food from mezzo is better, don't forget about it like i did! oh and at the hotel eat the chocolate souffle, it's sooo great.

Anyway, the night before surgery i was super worried and nervous and there was no need to. You're finally there, the wait is over.

Just been admitted at the hospital.  Not nervous at the moment. 😉

Awesome. I actually experienced calm before the surgery too.

It was the days before that that I felt more nervous. But some people do feel nervous in the hospital too. I was in room 904. 🙂 You're in great hands. 🙂

I've got room 904 too! Just saw the psychiatrist, still awaiting the anaesthesist. I am actually bored at the moment. Just hope the bowel prep won't be too terrible.

Pretty nice lady, the anaesthesist, very friendly and funny.

The drawings were terrible, I messed up the first one, drawing a person. Consequently, telling a story about this person was even more horrible. Happy this is behind me.

I just hope I can have a nice sleep tonight. I am not nervous, rather impatient.
