I'm taking estrogel and I get a burning sensation in my right leg.  Does anyone know what causes that?  It feels like it might be nerve related.

The danger is of course DVT. If the area is painful to the touch and or swelling it would be very sensible to get checked out at an ER or your medic.

Oh it's nothing like that.  It feels like nerve pain.  Does estrogen effect the nerves?

Not that I know of.

If you are on Spiro as an AA that can lead to increased potassium levels that induce muscle pain/cramp type feelings.

I'm not on spiro yet but I have some ordered.  I'm taking about half the normal dose of estrogel which I don't think is enough to cause DVT but it has had an effect on muscles.  My arms were tiny to start with but now the are noticeably even smaller.

It's def worth while getting checked by your Doc. It may be nothing but why take chances.

I had a severe response to E when I started that could have killed me, my doses and form of E had to be changed radically to suit my metabolism.
