Just happened upon this article, if my conditions were different I'd be all over it.  70 days of laying in bed and getting paid $18,000 by NASA.  Get out of bed and get your FFS done.
See this:

Love,

If only I could take 3 months off college ;_;

Oh my god.

I would never do this. You'd get so fat and out of shape.

I would love the money, but I could stand to be at a 6o angle.

It does not take courage or bravery to change your gender.  It takes fear of living one more day in the wrong one.~me

I imagine it would be a lot worse than it sounds. I think my mental health would probably decline...

yeah i don't think that's a job for me.... i'm getting the shakes just thinking of seventy days worth of missed shows and climbing on roofs...
i'll stay poor but active and happily crazy, thanks

also i have a feeling transitioning might put you out of eligibility anyway? from what they say of what they're trying to learn, we'd be too far out of the "chemical norm" to give the sort of applicable results they're after?
O this is progress towards perfection (the link is to my transition blog)

If I wasn't under the age requirement I would SO do this.  All I do is lay in the bed and play video games and sleep already.  That would be the PERFECT job for me.

yeah I thought about that too, but I think it's worth making a case for yourself in terns of letting them accept you as a subject.  Sure, staying in bed like that would be insanely difficult, but so are things anorexia, excessive exercise without protein, and all the other stuff some of us do when trying to overcome the dysphoria.  At least we'd be suffering for pay.

I couldn't do it. I lay down at a 1% angle and i feel bad. My head has GOT to be above  or at the very least, same level.
