So im not out at work but because of having been on hormones a bra is needed for anything other then simple walking for comfort. I was wondering if anyone has any advice for hiding a bra and the straps under the tshirt or polo i wear at work.
Thx in advance

You should try to avoid bras that have straps with adjusters that make the little bumps that tend to be visible. Sports bras are usually the easiest to hide since they can look like a tank top if anyone notices the straps. A sports bra will also flatten you a bit which will help hide your breasts.

Kariann, you might also want to wear something like an undershirt since sometimes shirts like to cling to the cup part of the bra. If your straps show, there's these special little clips you can buy (they're almost like safety pins) and can put the clip where you need it (usually at the shoulder seam) and put the strap there. The straps stay in place all day. :)

Being androgynous but never out full time depending on time, place and circumstances I have learned never to wear a white bra under a white or light colored shirt or top, always go with flesh tone and it won't show up like a traffic light. Black bra under very dark shirts or tops, this is the rule. Below is a photo of myself in the type of soft bra that does the trick best. It's a Rhonda Shear Aah Cutie racerback, so it fits flat and there are no straps to deal with.

the seamless or sports types are best for hiding. follow shantel's advice about colors. if you don't want to spend too much money on bras, the closest you can get to your natural skin tone will work for most outfits that aren't particularly revealing.

Tight sports bra and a loose fitting shirt over an undershirt. You won't be comfortable but they'll be flat and not apparent.

If it's that much of a problem, why wear a bra at all?

Kariann, it will be good when you do get cleared at work.  I was in boy mode for years, but finally got jolted out into the open accidentally.  My boss was really excellent about it -- she just wanted me to be comfortable, so it was fine for me to wear my bra.   Being out at work is HUGE stress reducer, also a pain reliever, because I was binding for a while there.

But as to your question, if you need to wear a bra, I can't see how it is ever going to be invisible.  Unless you totally bury your shape in 17 layers.  It is always going to be evident.

I have wanted to try one of these Cami Shapers.  http://www.camishaper.com/shop.php    That might not be too bad.

Largely for comfort and to hide your growing breasts. I'm in the same boat. I'm not out at work and need to hide them and they also rather sore whenever moving at more than a walking pace (my job (and life lol) occasionally requires running).

That's what I do. Now that the weather is getting cooler, wear a jacket or loose windbreaker.

Good things to know for the coming year for me. Thanks everyone for the tips!

Meh. Bras are a modern invention, they actually don't do that much for you. Just wear nothing. Your breasts hurt cause they're growing. Wearing a harness isn't going to help that.  Maybe try one of those gynecomastia vest things? Or, you could just come out... Just sayin. Then you can wear as many bras as you like :)

If your boobs aren't too big, you might try a tight crew neck t-shirt. I normally wear an XL, so for a tight fit I wear a L which is tight. Over that I would wear a loose shirt. That combination works for me.

It depends on the size of the bra but for me, I use a long, button-down t-shirt with a slight pattern (i.e. plaid or vertical stripes). Basically, something to break up the light. I've almost been caught at work because I tried to wear a smooth, single-colored polo with a modest size bra. I convinced the guy it was part of my normal chest. Anything that has a large smooth (i.e. polo or regular t-shirt) or shiny will likely attract unwanted attention. I'm currently experimenting with various styles of shirts to see what I can get away with. My next experiment will be with single-colored button-down.

Dark cotton shirts with a pattern work best. Stay away from light shirts and from shiny or clingy material if you intend to conceal boobage.

I live in Dallas where it is hot and use a firm sports bra (walmart) and a loose t shirt but a button down will work for a more formal look. Been on hormones for 5 years and love my  breast but not full time.

Sadly i can't wear any kind of a pattern at work. I work at Walmart and have to wear a plain, blue shirt (if it has a logo it can't be larger then a credit card and must be under my name tag) with some minor exceptions due to location of the store and or logo on shirt.
