Just a thought but is it possible to write a fake consent letter and sign it using a fictitious doctor name.  Do surgeons actually check these letters for authenticity?  I'm not sure if using a real doctors name would be forgery since it wouldn't be for the purpose of obtaining something of value.  This is probably going generate a lot of flack but it make for an interesting topic.

Most doctors will check referral letters.  They prefer to talk to the writer, so don't try to fool any one.

It does not take courage or bravery to change your gender.  It takes fear of living one more day in the wrong one.~me

Because of that exact problem Drs  send the letter directly to the surgeon.

Why would you do that? We're not talking about a Hall Pass here, after all.

Where I live, it's illegal to impersonate a doctor.

Suggesting breaking the law is extremely objectionable to me.  Please refrain from that in the future.
