Xbox One Presenter Humiliated Me on Stage, Says Transgender Journalist
Wonderwomanhero, September 29th

A journalist says she was "completely dehumanised" on stage during an Xbox One Event at Eurogamer Expo 2013, by a comedian who made degrading jokes about her gender. Eurogamer Expo says it is investigating the matter.

Laura Kate Dale, a transgendered person who identifies herself as female, says she was called "he," "it," "thing" and "this one," by the presenter, who does not appear to be a Microsoft employee but an entertainer hired for the event.

Dale identified the presenter as Fraser Millward, a British actor and comedian.

Eurogamer Expo's official Twitter account told several followers that expo staff were investigating the matter. An expo representative told Kotaku that comment on the matter was pending the completion of that inquiry.

Comic apologizes, sorta, for "dehumanizing" trans gamer
Wonderwomanhero, October 2nd

"I'd like to express my sadness and dismay at what has ensued following a live stage event at the weekend. No offence was intended when I referred to Laura Kate Dale as 'this person' after I asked the audience to applaud her and I would like to take this opportunity to apologise for any offence and hurt I may have caused. There will be no further comment or response regarding this matter. Signing off!"

In the wake of the incident, both Dale and Millward have received threats from across the internet, some of which wished them death. Yesterday, when a blogger asked Dale for a rundown of the Eurogamer incident, she responded, "I'm asking people not to cover the situation. Each time it's covered, another wave of transphobic hate comes my way."

I guess this will be the last update on the issue. Feel so bad for her and what a j*rk off that guy is for making out that there was nothing wrong with what he said to her. I suppose next time he is announced on stage the presenter should make sure to refer to him as 'it' and 'this person'.
