My name is Debi Ann, I am a 51 yr old m2f transexual.
Back in the late 1980`s, I was recommended by my Psychiatirst to seek help at John Hopkins in Maryland. He might as well have said the moon. I could not get to Maryland, and put things on hold.
After some time I asked my mom, who was taking premarin if she could get me a script. She was a nurse, and knew doctors that would prescribe for her. She was no longer taking hers, so she didnt mind helping me. She got me premarin, and I took it for several years. Then my mom took ill, and her doctor stopped the hormones, thinking they were for her.
I went 4 years without hormones, and it was not fun. My facial hair, which was non-existant, decided to appear, and my voice decided to drop some. How disappointing.
I decided to try to find some local help, and called my local clinic for a breast exam. The lady doc examined me, and asked what she could do for me. I requested she either find me a doc or help me obtain the hormones I needed. She agreed to help me, and returned with a bottle full of premarin. I stayed with this doc for over 5 years, which ended when the clinic told her that I needed to see a specialist. She found a doctor in Indianapolis for me.
I have been with this new doctor over 2 years, and have been taking injectable estrogen, along with spironolactone, and just recently progesterone.
I requested to be put through a puberty stage for more developement, I hope I can gain a little more all around.
I have been in and been hostess of several transgendered groups online over the years, and have decided to come here for insight, support, and friendship.
