As I am a faculty member here, I do not wear skirt at the campus. Also, as my town is an island, virtually everybody recognizes me, whether they know my name or not. My physique is so much noticeable, and I seldom wear skirt here in the island. However, in the mainland or other countries, I sometimes wear skirts.

Wearing skirts is no issue for strangers, but can be an issue to those who already knew you. When I was a graduate student at a state university of the U.S., I once wore skirt at the campus. It caused a lot of gossips not just among students, but faculty members too. It even transmitted out of the state.

However, I now show my wearing skirt in the cover photo of my facebook account. All of my colleagues and friends know that I sometimes wear skirt. And no problem at all, at least here in my country.

Used to like dress/skirts exclusively.  And always, always, always felt I needed to wear hose or tights with them.  That was pre-everything.

Once I showed up for my therapy visit in short shorts, I stay bare-legged unless its cold or complements the look I have on.  To that end of developing a normal everyday female look, I have begun incorporating jeans and pants. In other words, just what your normal genetic female wears.  And I have found even the pants liberating because they have female design touches and sandals or flats.  Cannot be mistaken for male clothing.
