I dyed my hair again tonight and did some foils on it, this time I went way, way more red. I'm liking it a lot!

I think over the past couple of months I have seen more changes than the previous 6 before that. Maybe it was toning down my progesterone dose a little bit and making way for the estrogen to do it's thing. Either way, I'm incredibly happy with how things are going. I hope y'all enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoy seeing yours!

The best - and most deserved! - compliment I can pay you, Jenny is that you look just as good as you sound. You're just inspirational as an example of what a transitioning woman can achieve.

And I know it's been said before here, but looove the Joy Division shirt.  I got Warsaw on vinyl a few months ago. So freakin' good.

Half asleep, a little meh, but I felt like playing for the camera xD  Oh yea also wearing an old guy shirt for bed xD

I hate how it adds shadows where my skin tone is even (like upper lip)

The new phone is GREAT! Being that it is so open source supported, I'm already starting to learn how to program apps for it. I am trying to make a voice analyzing app that tracks voice pitch along a graph... similar to Praat, but geared specifically towards what we as trans women need a voice analysis tool for. I am naming it Kalliope (which is Greek for "beautiful voice"). Very excited to release it!

Carlita, Bardoux, and Akira- Thanks for the really nice comments. It makes me smile SO HARD to be reminded of the time and effort we have all made over the past year. Although in hindsight, there was really no other option for us, eh? Sometimes you want something bad enough that it's much harder to ignore it and the effort involved getting there almost becomes a series of small appeasements. I guess kind of a snowball effect of sorts. And I have a feeling this little snowball is hardly done at all!

Good lord I love this forum. The support here is insurmountable. It makes me realize how very, very lucky we all are to have Susan's. Love you all!

Thanks! I've been going back and forth with different looks and this is what I love. Being in hairdressing school is helping a lot with this. I'm learning what does and doesnt work with my face, skin, ect ect.

Which version of Warsaw did you get? I have the 12" and 7" of it. I spend way, way too much money on Joy Division/New Order/Fac stuff. I just got FAC2 - "A Factory Sampler" 2x7" still sealed in the foil wrapper. Its in perfect shape. A couple of months ago, I got the French pressing of Atmosphere when it was called "Licht und Blindheit", it was limited to 1578 copies. I had Peter Hook sign it when he played Boston and he said its the only one besides his that he's seen in a long time.

Hello! I am a few days from my hormonal nine-monthversary and have my endo appointment in a few days.



As an afterthought, is it wrong of me to feel jealous of other women and disappointed to still see the male face I remember and despised from before? Both of these things are big triggers of dysphoria for me and I have absolutely no idea how to keep from feeling this way.

Alice, you've "turned the corner".  There's no male face any longer - just the face (and body, I might add) of a woman.  I think that your brain is pulling a trick on you when you look in the mirror.

You definitely look female, Alice!! No kidding.  It's not unusual for you to be your harshest critic, but I don't think anyone would ever think you looked anything but female.
