Drying off after my shower, one of my little blue balls fell off but I caught it before it went down the drain.

Wait, you thought what?????

I was talking about one of the posts in my ears....

Heee Heee

Still enjoying my new life now only 6 days old. So much calmer and relaxed than the old me.
I love the way I am starting to feel from what it used to be like.
There will be no going back to the old me.

Life is wonderful, today at least.

I got the ball rolling on my AAs. I called my GP's office and said I want to change my BP med... I need an office visit for that and I have one sched in November (I could move it up, I suppose ;)). I also said I wanted to drop off a letter I wrote (which basically goes into how Spiro scripts work for transgender people - since my GP probably doesn't know).

I figure that if he has a problem monitoring this with me, it gives me some time to get a different appointment as needed . The first available for a trans-friendly GP was in February - and I have it scheduled, but need to know if I should be keeping that appointment or not... or if he'd like additional bloodwork before he scripts me for Spiro in November.

I also don't know if I need a therapist letter - my therapist said it wasn't needed for this... and I trust that, but I want to get all those ducks in a row! (My therapist *is* willing to write for me - he knows I'm not ready for E yet).

Two in a row!  :o

I had a big fight with my parents this past weekend over my issues and how I'm treating the family, etc. They basically said I need to stop and turn it around (hey... that's what I heard) and support my family.

Today, I came home and my mother was watching the kids (she does that once a week, right now). I don't think she wanted to talk about it yet, but I followed her out and we talked in the garage. She explained her concerns in a non-attacking way, I understood all of them and said I'd thought about all of them (you know that drill... we think about what can, will, could happen more than anyone). I said I'm alone without support... that they're (and practically everyone is) concerned about my wife's pain, my kids' future, and their own pain without realizing it's painful for me too.

I'm not sure when the crying started, but toward the end. We hugged and I was practically sobbing. She was crying. I wonder if just seeing me cry was enough -- it was always so seldom. I don't know the last time anyone has seen that.

I have hope again.

That sounds really relaxing! I got purple leopard print jammies a few days ago :) They're awesome.

I also have a 3rd thing... what an amazing day it's been today!!! My Levi's (510 - men's super skinny) arrived and fit perfectly! I may even need a smaller waistband soon. Whoever suggested them (I'm never find the thread again) THANK YOU! I wonder if I dare try Women's size 16 Levi's (boot cut, probably).

Thanks!! It's just great to be able to fit... and I still have a lot to lose :D
The funny thing with the 510s... I was thinking - these aren't very low in the waist (as advertised)... guys probably don't tuck and pull them up tight against the crotch. LOL

I'm so happy right now I can barely contain it. I just sent out my coming out letter to my therapist so she will be able to look it over and know where I'm coming from when we meet for our first session. I can't wait for tomorrow afternoon to be here already so I can finally get things started :D

I have not cut my hair in well over a year.  My kids are calling me a "hippie" because of my pony tail.  LOL

Mother gave me $5 of the $9 she owed me so I put the $5 in my top surgery fund.

Facilitated a very successful workshop this morning. Had fifty school administrators engaged, collaborating effectively, and working productively.

My family had our inaugural 'Great British Cake Off' last night... which is where one of us buys cakes for us to eat whilst watching The Great British Bake Off.

Yum... Bake Off is even more fun when you're having a Cake Off at the same time.  ;D

I prob won't cut mine until the Spring, that's about a year for me as well, and then just a bit of styling.  A ponytail is kind of my brass ring at the moment, I want to tie it back so it looks more just plain old hippie, at least for the time being.

My hair is getting longer... seems like it's growing quickly. Right now the longest hair comes to my earlobes.
At what point is it bad to not get it trimmed for even growth?

How do you care for your hair? I do co-only w/ the tiniest amount of shampoo once in a while to clear up oil.

I saved a pensioner 5p on his shopping at lunchtime by giving him some handy tips. It may not seem like much, but he seemed very grateful and he certainly needs the 5p more than the retailer does.

Also, I've won two free chocolate bars this week. Yay! Free chocolate!  ;D

I'm not the one to ask about hair care  :P  In my past life, it never concerned me, at least not outwardly so.  As far as trimming, I had a girlfriend who insisted on trimming hers to keep split ends under control, but I don't get those.

I have a variety of shampoos, most recently I use a volumizing shampoo almost every day, then usually blow drying afterwards, then a baseball cap to get it in the habit of staying pulled back.  I've done an oil treatment a few times but since I'm still in male mode for a while, I don't go too far with making my hair pretty.  I do look forward to doing lots of other hair stuff in the future.  I do really enjoy the times when I pamper my hair, it's much more fun now that it's getting soft.

I wonder if mine will get softer! I have pretty fine hair. Conditioner-only may be a major way of life for me on E (oil supposedly drops). My hair is hard to control unless it has a bit of natural oil. The only beauty parlor I've ever been to is "supercuts" ;)

On topic:
Yesterday was full of ups and downs... Lots of ups, but lots of painful things too. My wife was aiming for a messy divorce (she basically told me) and my mother I've mentioned. Both ended very well, considering. So overall I'm just in a happy mood. I'm wearing my new Levi's and people continue to comment on my weight loss. (YES ... something to explain some of the other changes away... focus on the weight loss)!

Basically, I'm just happy at being me... oh and therapy day (yay)!
