I made my appt. yesterday with my general practice doctor and did some very in depth explaining of my current situation, my history, and the fact that I was really srtrugling to find doctors willing to help out. It turned out to be a 2.5 hr appt. including the doctor and 3 nurses, had my blood work up. One nurse spent most of time calling around to find an endo that would work with and support transgendered people. at the end of the day I walked away with a start on a medical supervised hrt program. a script for spiro, an appt to see an endo who is close to home and will work with me to develop a metabolic balance of hormones for transitioning and seems to have some experience / knowlege of my process. This is so much a blessing to have the medical support and health monitoring with the correct meds to make things right. I feel it has been big step in my process for getting things going the right way (not black market) and being able to really start the steps and documentation for full transition.
my self concieved fears and speculations were very misleading and it turned out to be one of the best days I have had in a bit, tears of joy are really cool.
just wanted to share this for anyone who may be at a simular spot

See that is what i am talking about. It was kinda the same way where i live, i keeped fearing that i would never find anyone. Truth be told if you keep at it you will find what you are looking for. I enjoyed everyone one of my doctors (gatekeepers) and was so glad i had them looking out for my health.

I am so glad for you, take this and remember not everyone in this world is a total .sses. I hope you find the happiness in your process going forward.

Congratulations Jerri,

Like you i learned that most of my fear was self induced and "misleading" to the max.  Fear no longer controls my life, my presentation and my true identity.  Yes, tears of joy are that special and that "cool."  You may be one, like me, that also finds tears will flow more readily in response to all kinds of stimulus from bad chick movies to hurtful words.  This greater range of emotional response feels more fully human to me now.  My past emotional level seems comparatively like wood to me other than the too ready ability to get angry.  I don't miss that or those urgent, driven feelings either.  Life isn't perfect on HRT but I now go from euphoria to calm and feel this incredible sense of finally being "right" with myself.

Good luck with your transition and let us know how you are doing along the way.

Hugs

Thank you all so very much for the incouragement, and the spot on advice I have recieved here. the liberation of being out and moving forward has had so much influence in my demeaner. I never could have faced that without the support I found on these pages, knowing that I dont have to face these barriors alone and have the wisdom of so many girls that have been here and done this gives me the innner strength I need to face my path with my head held high, (and my little moobs pointing forward) lol

Thanks for the smiles and the LOL

Yes a personal and ultimate liberation!  Wear what feels good, present as your most authentic self with your head held high and those pointy little darlings suggesting a way forward.
