Hello lady's and gent's my name is Rebecca. Im a 28 year old MTF living on the west coast of Ireland (huzzah). I came out to my friend's 3 year's ago, after month's of deiciding wether or not it was a good idea. Turns out it was yay and all that stuff. Thing's haven't been the best at home about me wanting to be me. But I found a way to hide it from my folks to cause less grief, that just made things worse for me. Just as I told my friend's my mom got diagnosed with dementia so I became a full time carer for her while keeping an eye on my dad (he over does things). So I put my life on hold to help I mean who wouldn't. 3 years and allot of driving myself around the bend here I sit waiting for tomorrow so I can have the talk with my father. I know it will go allot better than when I was younger but nerves and stuff . Well im sure ive taken up enough of your time. Peace out peeps
This is what I think of when people give me their damning verdict: The Rock "It doesnt matter what you think. It just doesnt matter.

Rebecca
I want to welcome you to Susan's. I also would like to wish you well in your talk to your father. I know it is a hard thing but you know inside it needs to be done. We all love our families and wish not to hurt them but at the same time we need to stand for ourselfs.
Again hope all works out and wish you safe passage on the path you are now walking.

dia duit Rebecca,
Welcome to our little family. Over 7948 members. That would be one heck of a family reunion.
Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams. Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.
But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister.
