I don't do it, but that is no reflection on you.

I think it probable that other TS folks in my area who have seen me in public, have spotted me fairly easily.

It's hard to tell, but hardly of any concern.  :)

I don't really notice. I just don't care. A few months ago there was a MtF in line in front of me at the post office. I didn't notice, but my wife did. Other than that, I have only seen a few transgendered people out and about, and those were people who appeared to not really be trying to pass. One had a beard and insanely large breastforms and the other was dressed like a teenage girl on her way to a party.

I guess I just don't care. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I am unfriendly, I just am not looking at other people that much, except in the most casual way.

Love always,
Elizabeth

He heee....what an opportunity!  Wishy, I would never ask anyone if they thought I was odd  LOL.  "Hell NO BEV!  You're not odd....you're over the edge, girl! (usually followed by "or whatever", by the ignorant among us).
Yes, it's not exactly an obsession, but both of us, Marcy and I always look for other transsexuals.  We also try to spot lesbians, or lesbian couples.

I think people find comfort in seeing "family" here and there.  Like a security blanket 'you are not alone' thing.

Yep! I look around all the time.

I've always been a people watcher, but lately I find myself looking much more closely at people, observing them very carefully, men especially.  Part of this for me is simply wanting to learn from their behavior, mannerisms, dress, etc., and always comparing it to my own.  Yes, I do keep a lookout for trans people, and occasionally I see someone I'm pretty sure is or might be.  Or people who make me wonder.

I've always been a people watcher also, and know two FTMs. I do keep my eyes open, I think we have had one or two MTFs in the restaurant. One I was sure of. I don't say anything but I find it nice to see. But that's only one small segment of the fascinating human drama that is going on around.

i dont go out of my way to look, some folk might perk my ->-bleeped-<-dar, but its rare. and if i spot an obvious trans person, or interact with them at work, im curteous, and treat them as they are presenting. Its only fair, mind, they rarely clock me back >.>

I don't try and look, I just see them and know they are trans. I worked in our community for transgender inclusive laws and I have met quite a few trans people who live in and around our city. I don't stare or do I mention it to anyone, I just notice who they are. Most of them know me and look at me. I hope that I present in a positive way for them. We have quite a few trans people in our city, surprising. When I have gone to pride events in the past, I don't go anymore, I will run into someone I know. I do look, but I feel very proud when I see a guy or girl out and about. I try to notice how the people around them react. I will say that most of the time, people don't give them a second look, unless they are at the mall on a Sunday afternoon and dressed like someone else said, going to a teen party and they are over 40 and over weight.

I do look for Trans people when I'm out and about. I check women to see if they were men and I check men to see if they were women. I do it so that I won't feel so isolated. I certainly haven't screamed out anything when I've seen the one or two that I think I've seen.

Yes. You are odd.

I think I've seen very few. I almost stop dead in my tracks, at least in my mind I do. I think, not only do they have the courage I don't, they have the mindset to say F the world, but also, why do I not have the same courage? It makes me think. It gives me willpower.

When he was ready he showed it to his friends and they said he had created a great statue. And the sculptor said he hadn't created anything, the statue was always there, he just cleared away the small peices." Rambo III

I live in Toronto and I see alot of transsexuals when I am out and about. I've always been a people watcher though. I used to like to looking at women because i want to be like them. Now, I look at women and i compare the differences between the way men and women look and compare myself to other women to see if i look *woman* enough.

Cant really tell.

Everyone passes here in a Hijab or Abaya and Shaylla.

Being dressed head to foot in Black is a good way of blending in.

i saw a pretty girl in the store the other day, i swore she was trans, but i was probably wrong. if she was, she was beyond stealth so i didnt look too close as not to draw attention.

Sometimes you can see women with exceptional male features and I think 'yea' 'you've been spotted'.....then I've found out it's a genetic female..

It has also worked the other way round and I've seen an exceptional feminine female both bodily and facially and later found out she was a TS. I couldn't believe it and my eyes refused to believe it too.....

i dont notify them that i've rumbled them... that would be rude.

But i like to make sure i'm not the only one in my town. A part of me wants to run up to them and wave at them and tell them i'm a friend... but thats just me, i'm an idiot. But i dont... cos then that would blow my cover of being an idiot.

I found this topic strange to come upon as I today think I saw a FTM TG however around here you can never be sure if they are TG or just butch.... with MTF I find it much harder to tell don't ask me why.

In DC there are so few, that there is a good chance we already know each other.

The DC metro areas trans population is tiny, 1400, and its the 4th largest metro area in the country.  Compare that to San Frans 14,000 + and the huge trans populations in NYC, Chicago and LA.  Its not like the area is not trans friendly and doesn't have good trans services, its just that there are not that many trans people out here.
