Abby

Hi! My name is Abby. I'm a pre-op transwoman who currently presents as male/masculine androgynous. I'm eighteen, a freshman in college, and living in Miami. I'm an anthropology/women's studies double major with a certificate in queer theory. I've come out to my family as trans, and have been talking to a counselor at my school whose been great. He "diagnosed" me with GID, and has given me a referral to an endocrinologist to begin HRT. I'm very excited, my parents are coming down in a week so we can discuss insurance and all that matter. I'm glad I've joined this community, and look forward to hopefully sticking around and making some friends.

Hey Abby, I'm Willow.
I'm also a pre-op MtF currently presenting as male, and also a first year university student, and I have to say well done, you're well on your way already, and miles in front of me. As my sig says, if you have questions for me, something goes wrong and you need a shoulder or a hug (I'm a big hugger) or just need someone to talk to, I'm available, as is most everyone on this site, they're all just lovely.
Best of luck to you, girl :)
Hey, you've reached Lauren's signature! If you have any questions, want to talk, or just need a shoulder to cry on, leave me a message, and I'll get back to you.

Congratulations, on many levels!  You've found a wonderful place to be you, to give support and to be supported... Susan's is, well, pretty damned wonderful.  I'm so glad we all found this place, and grateful to Susan for setting it up. ;)

And congratulations on being out to your parents, and apparently the world at large, and for taking the steps you are making!

Welcome.

You all seem great :)

I've been lucky beyond expectations with the level of acceptance I've encountered. My family is all quite religious and conservative, but have all been shockingly...tolerant?

How do you post pictures on here? Do they need to go through photobucket like some forums require or is copy/paste good?

Hi Abby, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 7974 members. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister.
