I look at it differently, I guess. I've put up a few pics of myself over the years. But not because I was looking for feedback (besides, I can find that on my Bandcamp page. *rimshot*), but simply because I felt like it. I only took them down because I felt it was kind of boring and thus, the parade of Portia began.

I have that one avatar pic on my blog somewhere anyway so it's no biggie.

You had long hair right?

On my cub scout outing I spent a lot of time working in the kitchen with the mothers :D Also... most of the conversations I had were with them.

Most of the rest of the weekend conversations were about sports - at which I got to interject my lack of knowledge (literally - apparently they don't call it a "pennant race" anymore - Go Sox. Yay.)

edit: Internet says it's still called that. Either they were effing with me or I'm just as confused as ever.

I've had long hair since I was 21. I'm 36 now. The only time I didn't have long hair was a short period in early 2000 when I attempted to cut my own hair while drunk. It wasn't the best of ideas. I remember when I went to this barber that I had been going to since I was a small child, after she chopped all of my hair off she said: "Now your mom has her boy back." I just laughed because it was so silly.

Yay I was right!

Last night for me but I made a big(little) step in progress(still was nervous) went to my friends' place and put on the top mum gave me along with a vest/waistcoat and my new hat(dress pants too dirty people) and my friends' said I looked good, very lesbian and even dyky(sp?) thought tye were kidding but they meant it but that wasn't the step nope the step was I drove us though the drive-thru of a fast food place(Hungry Jack's) in the clothes. This was a big deal for me because the most I have been able to do is the right clothing at home when I am alone or at my friends' place. To actually go outside and drive someone en femme was a huge deal for me due to my anxiety.

I got my microwave/convection oven replaced under warranty, my next door neighbour carried it in. I sat and drank coffee with the wife and daughter while he installed it (he seemed to want to, I think it's a boy thing).

I realised there was no way I could pick it up!!!

Mmmm HRT and muscle!!

And it's fun to play with, love FB.

My mom took to a pancake breakfast and asked to take her to meet some friends from work. She called me her son to them. I'm happy, it can't be easy to make those changes.

Your mom's a keeper!

Yup she is. No matter how annoying to spend long amounts of time with her, she does her best to get pronouns and name correct. It has to be hard after 50 years of using one set to change.

Moms get old and cranky, menopause doesn't make it any better either, but one thing is always constant, they continue to love their offspring regardless.

Just heard that scientists have found a way to grow hair on skin from scratch, in other words that signals a big breakthrough for people who are suffering from pattern baldness.
