Well, well, well.  It's been a few weeks since going live.   The only thing interesting that has happened at an airport, in spite of flying two or three times a week, was the ID checker who kept glancing up and down from me to the bearded man on my driving licence, and back up again, looking confused.  I put my hands on my hips, smiled, and asked him,  'Do I look better now'?   'y-yes', he responded, handing my documents back to me.

This morning at the airport, 5:15 AM, the inevitable happened.  The machine complained, and the man called, 'Female Assist please'.   So I got patted down by a female officer.

Small triumphs daily.

Cheers,
Karla

PS  Don't take this to mean that I approve of the national security state, the culture of safety, or any of that.  I'm hoping that trans people can begin to relax about airport security... we have enough to give us stress already.

What would normally seem like such a small thing to any other person is understandably a huge deal in a life of someone like us. Bravo!
