Hi - I am new around here but wanted to let you folks know that I have a Dr appt at the end of this week for my HRT. I have been cleared and we just need to discuss the details. Initially I will start off with pills but I hope to migrate to injections for E. The doc says to start with the pills to see how I react to the changes and after 6mos if it is going well then to convert over to the IM injections. I am very very very excited...

As of this coming Saturday, I will have been on HRT for exactly 6 months, it goes by fast!

Perhaps a little to much. For a little background I did the DIY thing a year or so ago and after 6 mos I decided to take a break and re-evaluate who I want to be, where I am, where I want to go, and how to get there. After that reflection I decided I am just not happy in my current state. And there is only one way to become who I want to be - the right way. I finally realized transition is not easy and is not for the faint of heart, it will take time but it needs to be done properly. Hence my lurking on this forum and others - they have been quite educational and inspirational. There you have it in a nutshell.

It is offically offical - I am now on HRT. I went to my appointment and my doc asked me if I wanted a hand filled out prescription or "if you want I can send it electronically and it will be ready by the time you get there - who do you use". Of course I said "Hell yeah send it electronically" and I gave the pharmacy info. We chatted for a few minutes and that was it. Went to the pharmacy, walked in said my name and of course the tech did a double take when he said the E word as he was reading the lable. I paid my money came home and started the journey. Then I started working - I work from home.

On a side note I had to push my nail appt to Monday. Now I need to make arrangements to get rid of some facial hair... Not looking forward to it but well ummm you know what i mean.

So far so good. I wish I could say I feel different but I just feel like me. I do admit that I am thirsty as heck. Must be the spiro.

Before i get started I need to add that my nail appt was sheer pleasure. I have white french tips which i truly adore. I think they are a little long because I can't take my earrings out. Still getting use to them I guess. Oh - typing is a real PITA! I can take some pic's if anyone is interested. So far so good on the meds - my only real complaint is the bottom of my feet started sweating when i wear shoes. I did not notice this before. I work from home and it is not that big of a deal I just take me slippers off. Besides I get to see my black toes (i did them myself - i do have some feminine skills) which I like. Other that being thirsty i am drinking lots of water and visiting the ladies room alot.

So there you have it - day 4.
