Who is or was lactating?
Did you use Motilium?
Manual or electric breast pump?  Medela?
What's your motivation?

I have  produced milk twice. The first time was when my niece was born. I was on HRT but had not yet had SRS, age 23. My sister and I were VERY close in those days and I guess there was more empathy than I realized because the first time I held my niece, I let down milk which was a HUGE surprise to me (and everyone else LOL!)

The second time was less than a year ago. I induced using domperidone, Fenugreek, and Blessed Thistle and a Medela "Pump In Style" double electric breast pump but I didn't get milk until I had a regular nursing partner; then my milk came in within a week. It was something I did because I wanted to.

Jane are you still nursing?
  •

Northern Jane

No, I lost my partner and have not found another one yet. If I do, I will go back to nursing - it is the most peaceful and contented feeling I have ever experienced.

I did briefly, a few drops at a time. My endo tested prolactin levels (normal) and said it would probably go away in time, which it did. I made no special effort to maintain it.

I induced before using drugs, it started slow, the first i tried, I got drops out,  but as time went on I got a good flow going. I had an double electronic breast pump (both breasts done at once). I extracted milk for about six months. The feeling on the pump on my nipples felt amazing. It creates a seal on you nipples and the pulling motion is amazing.

I extracted twice a day, for 15 minutes at a time.. sometimes 3 times.   The amount.. I extracted about half g-girl produces.

I found my breasts become more fuller and matured. My breasts are still today fuller.
Enjoying ride the hormones are giving me... finally becoming the woman I always knew I was

I am currently taking it - want to be 'back in production' in a couple wdeks.

Did you have a question?

Northern Jane it's Shannon.  Thanks for the reply.  I  thinking of taking it again.  How often and how much.  Are you self medicating or seeing a doctor?  What's your reason?

Northern Jane

I take 3x10mg 3x a day. No doctor's support but she knows what I take and monitors my blood work.

The reason? Because I want to! There is no more contented feeling than nursing a partner.

Hi

When I transitioned the first time, a girl friend had a baby and allowed me to experience breast feeding her baby . I was so amazed with the feeling that I talked to my endocrinologist and she explained that anyone could lactate with the right treatment and that  it would of course mean that my breasts would be fuller with the increase in milk ducts. We discussed it and as I was very close to my girl friend decided that I would try it out. She then put me on Progesterone and Motillium and I bought a double electric breast pump and she introduced me to a Nurse Practitioner.  My NP advised me to start slow, but to try to express milk 2 times a day for no more than 15 minutes each time.  Each time to get comfortable on s couch or bed and to start with some gently massage on each breast to increase the flow and to warm up the tissue.. At first I got nothing out, but after a couple of weeks the combination of sharing great feeding duties with my girl friend meant that I got a regular flow going. Then my NP suggested that I use the Double pump at least 6 times a day to ensure that I expressed all the milk  after doing breast feeding. This meant that I was producing it on a regular basis no matter whether feeding  or not. It was an amazing period of my life as I truly felt a woman and  induced a feeling of euphoria and a lot of maternal feelings, As time went on  over that nine month period my breasts became heavier and fuller (and even my nipples seemed to get larger and much more pronounced.  I really recommend it to everyone as the feeling of both breast feeding and induced expression on ones nipples is truly a wonderful sensation. Unfortunately I broke off with my girlfriend just as I got to the stage where I decided for family and  economic reasons to de-transition. My girlfriend tried very hard to get me to stick with my transition (as she was incredibly supportive of me  working on my transition as-she was the one who  gave all my male cloths to the Op shop  and together with another girlfriend made me cut up my last pair of male trousers with the clothing shears so that I would focus on only wearing Skirts and dresses and being committed to be 100% female 24x7.  Anyway, the good thing is that regularly lactating over that period meant that my breasts were overall well developed with increased breast tissue especially in the armpits and sides. Even now some 26 years later they are still well rounded  and fuller(although now only a small B, I still pass the pencil test easily). Interestingly enough , a couple of weeks ago I discovered a large stain on my PJ top one morning where I had obviously started to leak during the night from both breasts. My new NP just said it was due to the increase in my Progynova dosage and not to worry as it meant that the body was re-adjusting to having Oestrogen as the dominant hormone. I have very low T (less than 1.1).
