A friend who had FFS told me that her hairline seems to be a bit higher after surgery.

Today I read this:
"The Coronal Brow Lift
The most invasive, but most effective method to raise the brows is the coronal lift.  It involves making an ear-to-ear incision over the top of the head, removing a wedge of skin and hair.  It will last the longest, but can cause a large scar that may be noticeable in certain people.  It will also raise the hairline by several centimeters."

Any of you noticed a change in their hairlines after having had the forehead procedure?

I'm a bit scared because my hairline is quite high already. Thinking about hair transplants as hairline lowering will leave a visible scar.

My hairline ended up less than 5mm ahead of where it originally was despite a 20mm scalp advance. I ended up doing 1200 hair graphs to cover the scar, fill in the widows peaks I had and advance my hairline to a more feminine position. But as always YMMV best thing to do is consult with the surgeon and make sure he/she is aware of your concerns. Again pictures of the surgeons previous work may help ease your mind..

What method did the surgeon use to transplant the grafts? (FUT, FUE, Neografting, Mini/Micro?)
I was considering Dr. Epstein in Miama at a later point after FFS. He's got experience with TG patients.

The hairline is raised slightly only if a coronal incision is made (ear to ear, across the scalp so scar is hidden by hair.) However, lots of surgeons use hairline incisions so they can advance and/or reshape the hairline. The downside to this is the noticeable scar and the fact that "reshaping" the hairline doesn't fill in the corners nearly as well as hair transplants.

I've had two coronal brow lifts in 16 years. This was possible because my hairline is quite female, being 5cm distance from my eyebrows. Honestly, I haven't noticed any increase in forehead real estate due to these two procedures. If there is, it's negligible.

If you didn't have any forehead work done  that would probably explain why your hairline is about the same. The heightened hairline from a coronal scar is a result of some slack skin due to the bossing being removed if I understand correctly.

I had some type II brow bossing dealt with first time. I don't recall any advancement, although there must have been.

I'm still on the post-op period (surgery was done on September 5th), but my brow seems huuuuuuuge. I already had a high hairline, but I was being able to hide a bit of it with my hair...but now...I am really desperate...my hairline is extremely high!

Great, before I wasn't passing because of my nose and brow bossing...that was now corrected...but now I am mainly bald! Where is my hair? Will I be able to pass this way? =( Will I be doomed to go back wearing wigs??

I had my incision at the hairline and a hairline advancement by 2,5cm with a small brow lift ( and forehead, nose, chin job). The scar is barely visible and can be covered by some hair transplants. There are some hairs growing on the scar already. I think it is a better solution than having a coronal incision for most of us. The coronar incision will almost always to a higher hairline.

Do you know how much higher the hairline will be with coronal?

I had a face to face consultation with a surgeon who said that my hairline was fine and he would do a coronal incision for forhead contouring and I had a email consultation with a surgeon who said he wants my hairline 2,5 cm lower. I agreed with the first surgeon who said my hairline is okay, but if the hairline nds up higher then I'm not so sure.
