See MSNBC for a poll concerning the impeachment of President Bush.
When we walk to the edge of all the light we have and take the step into the darkness of the unknown, we must believe that one of two things will happen. There will be something solid for us to stand on or we will be taught to fly. — Patrick Overton

88 percent support impeachment in this poll.  Now isn't that interesting?

Not only should we impeach him, he should be charged with war crimes and crimes against the constitution.  And then to haul his arse to court and prosecute him and his cronies.

They have been spying on us for some time now and we are just letting it slide.

Way back a year, an eternity, I don't even know anymore, the polls in SF CA were up near 70% for impeaching Bush and Cheney, that was a broader poll than this in some ways.

HOWEVER, the district's Rep, one Nancy Pelosi, said basically: it ain't gonna happen, I got bigger fish to fry, you know like a career-in-the-wings.

And so it goes...

I believe that their thinking is that they need 'publican' support for some of the stuff they want to do.  They need a 66% vote to override the vetos for example.

So, if that's what they are doing, I sort of understand.  I still want those sucka's thrown in jail for the crimes that they have commited.

88% at this poll say let's do it.

I wonder if FOX would sponsor a poll like this!  Shoot, they've even stopped reporting on the war for major portions of the day.

IMPEACH! ..... and PROSECUTE!

whats the point, the entire system needs to change. Conviction is whats needed.

Normally i wouldn't suggest such a thing, but I'd like to see bush, cheney, ashcroft, rumsfeld, libby, rove, rice, bolton, and many others put into holding and get 'questioned' until they confess.

I really don't understand why it makes me feel like that. i suppose a simple trial will have to do, however.  It should be done in the Haig so the whole world can testify and or see what happens to evil and cruel people.

I feel guilty about wishing them harm and I am working on releasing that feeling.  I know that if I were the soldier to march into their offices and arrest them, I would treat them properly because I have morals unlike them and I don't need to torture others so that I can feel big.

They have betrayed the public trust in ways that I cannot comprehend as a human being.

At the VERY least, can't they be charged with mismanagement?

I believe we should practice compassion and in this case, I am all for compassionate impeachment!!!!!   However, as I've said before, Articles of Impeachment would not be that difficult to get past the House but a conviction in the Senate is another matter.  If Bush were removed, that would leave Cheney as President and, until he picked a Vice-President, Nancy Pelosi would be next in line for the Oval Office.  With Cheney having a bad heart, no Republican Senator is going to vote for conviction when it puts a person they consider the anti-Christ one step away from POTUS.

When this idiot we have for a president wants hundreds of billions to fight a war and then threatens to veto a bill because it gives 60 billion to the states for healthcare for indigent children instead of the 30 billion he wants to give which wasn't enough last year to fund many states through the entire year.  Yes, he needs to be impeached but not for crimes against humanity or whatever.  He needs to be impeached for criminal stupidity.

San Francisco floated a proposal or whatchamacallit to impeach the Bush and the Dick (overwhelmingly passed, 7 to 3), which Nancy P wasn't having any of - this was before she made it to number three in the food chain, but she expected to be, surely, and such a manuever would have the appearance of the ever-popular conflict o interest.

And I agree, compassionate impeachment and deportation.

Boosh ain't stupid, just a good puppet to his masters, wherever they are.

Au contraire, I think he really is quite stupid but has always had good handlers who were able to take advantage of his pedigree.  Don't mistake stupidity with education as some of the most educated people I've ever met were also some of the stupidest.  In Bush's case, "He was born on third base and thinks he hit a triple."

His masters?  Just look in the boardrooms of the oil companies.  Like Dennis Miller said, "We elect two shills for the oil companies to the two highest offices in the land and then we are surprised when gas prices go sky high?"

He's smart just like a dog who knows where his dish is kept. My idea is more that the decisions he makes aren't due to stupidity, just obedience.

I don't know if there is more to his masters than oil money or not.

Bush is not a smart man.  His daddy bought his degree.  L'il George never worked a full time job.  He couldn't handle it. It's so darned easy to see!  He can't put a coherent sentence together.  "Oh that's his home spun charm," I'll hear people say.  No, it's because he's a moron... not a world leader.

Impeach them both and convict for taking us into a legal war.  Yup, that's war crimes my friends.  There's my vote.

You mean an illegal war. They wouldn't be convicted, even if impeached, the Dems don't got the huevos (for either), even if there is a real election in ought-8.

Bush is an idiot in any objective sense. He knows how to work people, glad-hand, has an innate understanding of your Lower Common Denominators, a smart-enough politician.
