I'm still happy from what happened last night at my parents house. We had the tough discussion of this is now reality and they seem to have exited the denial stage. Made mom cry a few times but I think it hit home when I was leaving and she asked if I ever cry about any of this. I teared up as I said yes I've wept myself to sleep many times and have cried a lot over what all of this means for me. Her ahhhhh and teared up reaction followed by a good hug as I left just put me in a bubbly happy mood that is still with me today.

Always encouraging to see another young gal get over the frightful "Coming out ti parent" hump!  :eusa_clap:

My amazing mother force cleaned my house and bought me lots of food and this super cute lantern! Best sick day so far :)

A deer just walked past my living room window, and the dog, asleep on my feet, never woke up. That would have been a fiasco!

seeing a young and spunky transguy on youtube say in a comment to someone who was judgemental I guess that he was going to fight for equality of the LBGT community and how we will win the fight whether that person likes it or not.

Bad picture, but I went to the other side of my crappy, dirty house and waited for him.

Oh how cute, is that Bambi? :)

It's 350 degrees for an hour if I have any say in the matter!
  •

LordKAT

Do you own that house? It is probably 200 years old.  I could have fun with it.

Oh ye, the deer is cute, too.

Might as well cook a whole chicken for the amount of meat that's there. That little fellow is the size they put in a kid's petting zoo. We have real deer out this way, mule dear get in the 200lb range dressed, and elk, enough to fill any big freezer. Nah, that attitude is what gets Bambi lovers upset about deer hunters.  :icon_peace:

I do own it. The house was originally a depot/storehouse down the street on the edge of the river.  It was moved to its present location and added onto in 1910. You are welcome here, my dog and I share ten rooms, in the winter I seal off everything but two rooms and we live in the "mini-apartment." Hugs, Devlyn

@Shan, but we had the one from the petting zoo last weekend with roast potatoes!   >:-)

Now that you told LordKat that he's welcome there, if you fail on that promise along with that last comment to me, we will only be left to assume that you are one "Mean Girl!"  ;D

Willing to rent out a room or two? My job has weird flexibilities.  Can I garden there? I would love to do some painting and maintenance on it. It could be such a charming and warm place.

My hobby of houses would have an outlet.

*sigh* It is a nice dream.

Devlyn

Rent, no. Open my doors to you, yes. The garden here could spread to about 150' x 150' and there's lots of firewood around. I dream, too. I dream of taking in folks who need somewhere to go. I have the giant empty house, I need help and folks with nowhere to go to make it happen.

C'mon LordKat, Devlyn you both could make it happen and I know you're both good folks and respect other people's privacy. I had posted something on another thread that back in 2005 there was a MtF gal here that had bought a big house and was taking in other trans people all of whom weren't exactly rolling in dough, the vision was that together they could make ends meet. Sounded like a great idea.

@Devlyn, I get the impression from the discussion & you mention the size of the lot, you probably live in a rural area, especially to have a deer go by your home. Pretty pic. A few miles away at a park on Lake Ontario 6 or 7 years ago I saw a deer & a doe. They must have moved on as I haven't seen it since.

Wonderful if you want to share your big home.

@Malachite, whenever I am watching bands on tv at a concert or watching bands in a pub, my hands & feet are always drumming. Don't know that I would be good at it but I love watching drummers. I don't read music either but I guess I have an ear for what sounds good.

Mine too....along with guitairs!  I can't help it.  I love good music!

About fifteen miles from downtown Boston, actually. My street deadends on conservation land with a salt marsh and river.  You can catch striped bass and flounder 100 yards away.
  •

Devlyn

Yeah, and there's supposed to be a size limit on the stripers, but I always say if you make it the hundred yards from the river to the house without seeing the game warden, it's a keeper!
