Does HRT make the eyelashes grow longer? (Just asking for a friend...  😉 )

Also, I notice cis women tend to have very short eyebrow hairs, regardless of how wide or thin their eyebrows are. Guys of course, especially in later years, can grow super monster bushy brows. I have three or four that have gone feral and every time they pop up I tweeze them out with extreme prejudice. Thankfully my brows aren't too wild but the hairs are still longer than the average woman's. So I was wondering if HRT made them grow shorter over time?

I know what you mean about the long ferals. I do the same and pluck them.
HRT should make them less coarse but that's from what I have read as it makes all hair finer but this takes time.

I am getting mine cleaned up using my electro sessions so they can be targeted individually. Have one next week.
Looking for a neutral shape to start with.

Don't worry as I am obsessing about things as well.

I've always had gigantic eyelashes and have gotten compliments all my life. I don't think HRT has made a big difference but everything has changed for the better, including my hair situation. I started plucking my eyebrows at a young age, so they are very defined. They are a bit on the long side, but I don't allow them to get out of hand.

There's a guy I'm friends with through an art group, a bunch of us meet up once a month for a drink and chat. Last month while he was talking about something I noticed he had a few crazy long feral eyebrow hairs and it was all I could do to stop myself from reaching over and plucking them out! heeheehee 

Ooh that's evil Grace and just what I would expect as I would want to do the same.
One guy at work has one or two huge ones that should be yanked also.

I went to a salon and got my eyebrows shaped, it has been easy to keep them nice since then.

I might have to do another trip to Sydney to maintain some discipline, too many cute girls up there!

Please, as I think I definitely will enjoy it.

My eyelashes have definitely gotten thicker (especially the lower ones) - I doubt about any length increase since I was quite "gifted" in this area from the beginning.  As for eyebrows, I went for neutral mode, by thinning them out from the bottom. I did not had to shape them much as after I cleaned up "all the mess" they turned out to be naturally curvy... I have not noticed that hairs there are thinning out much, but I dont stress about them. But! One thing which I definitely noticed - ever since I started to use coconut oil for the night as a moisturiser, I have dabbed a bit on my eyebrows as well and they have visibly benefited from that!

I don't know about HRT... my lashes are really short and it's easy to stick that brush in your eye!

I trim my eyebrows, and pluck the stray hair. I don't really shape them... just keep them clean and short. A good brow brush and small scissors are a necessity!! They weren't really that bad, but I can see why my wife always complained about them 😀

I'm unsure about eyebrows, but I can say this pertaining to eyelashes; thicker, longer eyelashes is universally considered to be a trait more common in men.  I have no clue what causes this, but if HRT has any effect, it would likely be a reduction of volume.

I read somewhere that it's testosterone that makes for really long eyelashes, ironically enough.

I didn't notice a difference in my eyelashes, but somewhere around a year on HRT my eyebrow hairs did stop doing that sticky-out foot-long strays thing. Thank goodness. I still have the same width of eyebrow that I did before, which I shave b/c I don't like the way it looks otherwise, but at least the *length* is under control.

Maybe I do have really low T... 😀 or just some genes or something. 😉

My brother, poor guy, has had super thick black eye brows ever since he was a kid. Not monobrow but just huge. When he was about 11 he must have been teased about it at school one day because he decided to shave off half the upper width. Apart from doing a poor job at the shaving he neglected to take into account his olive complexion and the fact the skin under his eye brows was white as white. The end result was beyond hilarious. Still laugh to think about it.

Grace : Poor kid! 🙂 I've had some mishaps myself, but at least not that bad. (I use a tiny little "trimmer" thingy, not a razor.)
