Apples Mk.II

After Optimeyes, I tried to look for face recognition software on the net, until I arrived here:

http://new-mozart.dis.ulpgc.es/encara2

Supposedly it can identify gender. Really. Let's try...

I started with myself, but I was not very sure about the results...

So I used the manliest man that has ever existed.

Also had to try it with More women.

Worried about Sarah Jessica Parker.

Rudter Hauer also seems to be on the safe side..

Aaaaan, Just for laughs...

Oh, WAT?

Ok, this has been a bit difficult for the program.

Obviously, it is not foolprof, IMHO. I really don't recommend trying it if you are having concerns about facing or passability. Ir's only a demo code, and probably not the best.

Quite an entertaining application!

While it did gender me female for the most part, there were a few instances when I was playing with it that it did gender me male :(

I did have a bit of fun presenting it with pics I've taken of my self and seeing at what point it starts gendering as predominantly male, quite a while ago it seems, long before actually presenting correctly!

Discord, I'm howlin' at the moon
And sleepin' in the middle of a summer afternoon
Discord, whatever did we do
To make you take our world away?

Discord, are we your prey alone,
Or are we just a stepping stone for taking back the throne?
Discord, we won't take it anymore
So take your tyranny away!

.....

*adjusts the monitor* ... there... you're gray again. (I saw a kid in a rainbow dash outfit or hoodie in the car in front of me at lunch today -- I'm not part of the culture but I've seen a lot of the shows).

Here's another one: http://www.pictriev.com

I played with this one since I don't have a camera on this computer. I'm pre HRT and it had me at 68%male 32%female. My wife was about the same (69male/31 female), she didn't find that amusing. Below is the picture of me pre-everything that I used. (Pardon the squinting as I am very light sensitive.)

I'm getting 79% female, 21% male, 24 years old with my haloween costume pics.
In male mode, I get 98% male, 2% female, 24 years old.
Does makeup really change me that much?

I would think HRT would make a huge difference more than makeup and things shift around. Maybe later this week after my electorlysis appointment and my fave smooths out, I'll try it again and see what the results are. I don't start HRT until December.

Oddly enough, I had the opposite result!  A picture of me in girl mode (though with basically no makeup as I don't have any idea what I'm doing there) scored something like 16%, and a regular old face shot got 78% feminine.  My age was within a year on both.  I don't consider myself to have particularly feminine features.
