Dora

My name is Dora and I am living in a small town in Nebraska. As you can imagine, finding TG support here is pretty much a futile exercise. In spite of that I am doing my best to be whom I was meant to be. I was lucky enough to find a doctor locally who is willing to monitor my HRT (but only after I flooded her with information and found an online consultant.) My Therapist and Psych got me the letter and I offically started HRT 2 days ago.  Anyway, I've been lurking here for awhle and I must say this is one of the more informative TG fourms around. As I get more comfortable I am looking forward to jumping in on the coversations.

Take care,
Dora

Hey Dora,

Thank you for introducing yourself (a.k.a. managing to gain the courage) and welcome to Susan's! :D
I hope to see you get involved in some threads soon enough, and don't forget to view the site rules ;)
Also, good luck on your own, personal roller coaster ride! If you have any question, don't be afraid to ask them.

hi dora, i'm from nebraska too!

well, not anymore, but i was born in hastings.

there isnt much support at all -- unless you're from lincoln/omaha, and even then, it isnt much.

I had to lookup where Hastings is in NE. I moved here 2 years ago and I now live in Ogallala. Believe it or not, I moved here because of the land. I'm a landscape photographer and there is so much beauty here. Not everyone sees it -- especially the locals who have been here all the life. :)

Denver is closer then Omaha so I will be commuting there for TG issues.

Thanks everyone for the welcome and support. I actually posted a couple of messages so I jumped that hurdle. I'm a bit of a forumvirgin and haven't done this before. I'm finding that since I made the "big decision" I am losing my shyness bit by bit.

Hi Dora,

   Welcome to Susan's!
You will find a lot of information here, but even more important is that you will find a lot of company.

I wish you the best,

Rebis

I'm a bit of a forumvirgin...

LOL, we all were at one point! At nearly 2,500 posts now (omg!), I'm afraid to ask what that makes me, lol...

But hey Dora, great to meet you! I'm glad you found us! This is a pretty cool place, with seriously cool people and a huge range of diverse views and experiences to learn from. I hope you find it as helpful and useful as I have ;)

Oh, and hey, congrats on the HRT!
