I posted this to ->-bleeped-<- and got an interesting response... matches me exactly.

QuoteI was searching for info on how to reduce testosterone and found this:
Increase Testosterone Levels (in men)

I'm doing some of these things now (especially a 45 lb weight loss, cardio exercise) as a pre-HRT transition... I know my dysphoria has gone up since coming out, but how much could be because of increased T? I'm talking dysphoria almost as bad as when I went through puberty (many, many years ago... I'm 35).

Is there any way to counteract it? I'm starting HRT (AA's only for ~6 months) very soon... so I'm not sure it's worthwhile to try anything, but I thought my heavily increased dysphoria was solely due to my life situation, not hormonal changes.

The response matches me exactly... I always thought it was due to energy levels making me more aware of my problem, but I could have been balancing testosterone subconsciously.

I went through a number of cycles trying to lose weight. I lost up to 25 lbs, included exercise (always cardio, often weight lifting), and immediately turned it back around into my "normal" obese range 240-260 lbs @ 5'11".

It may also explain why my dysphoria and malaise has increased so damned much.

I ♥ HRT already... and I'm still a month and a half away from just AA's!!!! ;)
