My surgery with Dr. Brassard is less than 3 weeks away. I remember booking it 6 months ago and thinking that it was so far away. Now it feels too close. I am so nervous

It's almost here! I remember the time went so slow, then one day...BOOM...I was in Montreal. Now it's been like 3 1/2 years.

Don't worry, everything will be fine. He's an excellent surgeon and the recovery house is just as excellent. Just be prepared for your life to be taken over by dilation for the next few months :)

Good luck!!! I went to Brassard over a year ago - I second that the whole experience is fantastic. :)

I did mine in April. Yes time rolls by faster they you would think.

If you are in need of anything while there just give me a shout, i live in Montreal and could stop by and share a Tim Hortons coffee. I might have to travel out of town but thats up in the air.

Take everything slow, remember to breathe. It all will be good, you will enjoy the doctors and staff.

Nice to hear it is so close for you.

Mine is 5 weeks from today and yes, I am pretty nervous too!

Good luck and take care!

Congratulations and good luck to both of you, Cassie and Laura! I'm really happy for both of you. :) I'm hoping to be able to get SRS either next summer or fall. I was set to go to Brassard but now I'm not so sure.  :-\

surgery is in 2 more weeks... excitement and nerves are really setting in... one thing that's scaring me is my HIV bloodtest results havent come in as of yet, i'm fairly certain its all fine but the surgeon wont perform surgery unless he gets the results and i'm worried they wont be ready in time.

Had the same issue with mine, seem that test for some reason takes more time then just the normal bloodwork thing.

Just remember to relax. It is a huge deal but not as bad as you think. One thing i like is they do the epidural on top of the anesthesia. This i feel helps so much after with the pain. And the pain for me was no what i thought.
