I have to walk to the bank to get travel insurance and American money. But I sweat so much, even in winter. -_-

That's a skill you'll have to learn to become a real Canadian, Beth.

See? I knew I'm really Canadian on the inside...I knew there was a reason I *tried* in my younger days to lick stamps and snowflakes...and they all laughed at me!!!

Ha, I'll show 'em now...!

I have a pair of male glasses with an updated perscription but I never wear them because I don't like change.

You probably should put another $0.92 in your fund then...8 cents would drive me buggy.

I'm thinking that I love Beth's sense of humor. I licked a few stamps and snowflakes in my life too.

Perhaps, I remember making a thread a while back about the random things I've found digging in couches.

Update: I did it. ;D I got the insurance and the cash. I'm making a new cash jar to hold American money, and I've labelled it as 'Murica lmfao

(secretly, I love 'Murica. I love how everything is cheaper, I love guns, and I hope one day I can pull off "y'all" successfully...but I could never confess that at university because I'd be labelled a right wing nutter).

'Y'all' is a deep south type thing, not an American thing. Everything cheaper? Not necessarily, most people I know that went to Europe say how everything there is cheaper. I think it is all relative and you will some of each everywhere.

Fair enough. I heard some y'alls when I was in Indiana, and I did find a lot of things cheaper, but it definitely isn't representative of the US as a whole. Actually, I remember Keaira and I met one younger girl at the pool who was from San Diego and she was really unhappy to be in Indiana because she felt like she didn't fit in at all, kind of like being in a different world.

LAMO too Caleb, gee you'd better be careful or you could end up being a right wing nutter like me and a few other nutters here who "cling to their bibles and their guns". Btw if you're going the y'all route you have to say bible like bah'ble, y'all better practice up!  ;D :D

"Ya'all" is heard quite a bit in the places I've been to (WA, ID, MT)...there are two syllabils, "ya" and "all"...ya'all.

:)

That's probably not authentic Southern style, but that's ok...I hear they eat crawfish down there, too. I always screamed like a girl when I was handed one as a young'in...

'MURICA!! <--I am fluent in right-wing nutter speak.

Oh Canada....I forget the rest of the song...

Well you got one word right....its actually "O Canada"
Discord, I'm howlin' at the moon
And sleepin' in the middle of a summer afternoon
Discord, whatever did we do
To make you take our world away?

Discord, are we your prey alone,
Or are we just a stepping stone for taking back the throne?
Discord, we won't take it anymore
So take your tyranny away!

If it's the version GWAR did, it's mostly just farting and belching sounds.

O Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee and Beth.

I stood up when I realized I was reading your National Anthem.  That's a leftover from my service days. Respect.
