Unfortunately I have balding on the corners of my scalp and it goes back about 2 inches I really don't want to wear a wig forever, is there a way of fixing it so my hairline will look more feminine.

I have tried hair growth creams and shampoos with no success and I am just about at my wits end any input would be grateful.

Being on HRT should help - you only started recently, yes? It depends on how far gone the hair loss is - if your scalp's totally super shiny with no hairs at all the common "wisdom" is that there isn't much chance of regrowth. I've found that using Minoxidil/Regaine in conjunction with scalp massage and HRT (which has greatly reduced my T) is starting to bear fruit (or hair). It is a slooooow process - took about three months - but I'm now more hopeful of regaining much of mine.

I take finasteride and dutasteride as well as estrogen.  My hairline is advancing slowly and the corners are even starting to fill in.

Anyway, if rugs and drugs don't work, there's always plugs...

With HRT only ( Cyproterone Acetate & E ), most of all of my hair loss is slowly recovering. I developed those deep corners nearly 10 years ago and had been thinning on top since then. In the last few months, the corners are starting to fill in from the deep part out. It looks like the tiny little white hairs there are what's turning into the normal hairs. It probably won't come back anywhere near as dense, but I'm happy with some. Also, my hairline is dropping a little with more hairs sprouting, and the thinning has stopped and started to reverse.

"Plugs" are a really old term as most hair transplants today are done via FUEs (Follicular Unit Extraction). Individual hairs are transplanted to the target areas and can achieve a very normal looking hairline. Sometimes the hairs are extracted individually as well, but often the hairs are extracted as an entire strip from an area that has much denser hair.

I suggest contacting a hair restoration surgeon and asking for an evaluation. They usually do those for free.

If you're willing to undergo surgery and can afford it and don't mind a scar, you can potentially have those corners rounded off with a scalp advancement

I'm getting some recovery for the same kind of balding with minoxidil(sp?).  I'm hoping for more when I start HRT

Remember - even cis girls fade at the corners. It's not uncommon. I've seen plenty of it in beauty school.

moreover there are haircuts that hide those corners. Depending on hair length and
shape of your face a good hair stylist will provide with some options...

Was about to say the same thing but if you take Dutasteride no need to take Finasteride too as Dutas block 90% of DHT both category 1 & 2.

I am on finasteride + minoxidil + HRT for something around 45 days and until now it seems that my hair is slowly starting to grow on bald areas (mainly corners). When I look at the mirror I can see small tiny almost invisible hairs and it is enough to make my day =D

As it was stated, if your hair loss happened recently (your bald area can't be lustrous), you have good chances of recovering your hair. It will not be as strong and full as it was one day and requires patience, but it will improve your look!

And if the medicines are not being effective your if you are without patience, there are always good ways to get your hair back if you the have money. A hair transplant is a good choice.

Or, if you are almost begging money at the streets like me (lol), a wig and a lot of patience will do :/

My hair actually began thinking shortly after I started college and I began balding at 19. Last December I started using minoxidil which I used until May and I've been on finasteride since January. I started these medications when I was 21 and now 10 months later the balding has speed, reversed and is now growing back nice and thick. I was able to recover my hair because my balding was recent. Depending on when you start will determine how it will effect you. Your best bet is to start ASAP. Well best of luck!
