I'm pretty sure it would backfire in a really bad way. If you are trans and don't have serious issues and find a competent gender therapist it shouldn't take you too long. (Age is a factor there-- a question on the general forum, re T stopping growth). You may wait six months or so. You actually WANT the therapist knowing you are trans and believing you. Cross hormones are the treatment for being trans so they would know that. I have no idea why a person who knew nothing would think that.

My therapist told me she typically writes a letter for hormones after about six sessions on average. She does sessions every other week, so it works out to about 3 months.
Which really isn't a bad wait at all.

You've got plenty of time, especially if you're not a legal adult yet.
