Here's an unusual one. Today I was at a customer of mine doing some maintenance on their video surveillance system. I was watching a replay of a recording a few minutes old when I saw a girl walk out of an office and past a camera. For a second or two I thought to myself "Hmmm...who is that, I haven't seen her here before". Then I realized it was me  :eusa_doh:
Hahaha!

Oh, gosh! That's great!

I had a funny one today, I was in sunday school sitting near the front of the room, and my best friend for like eight or nine years came in late and sat in the back. At the end when we all got up to leave he walked up and was like Oh, its you I was trying to figure out who the new girl was that I had never seen before. That made my day :D (and I dont present female and im not out to anyone so it kinda sucked having to hide how happy that made me lol)

You know you pass when a girl playfully punches you in the chest (not violently so, it's kinda hard to explain) and get told you're being silly when you say it's weird to do that because you're a guy and you don't have boobs.

I wasn't binding , either ;D

Today I had to get some x-rays done and the radiologist asked me if I was pregnant. I said I wasn't and she then asked when my last period was to be sure. I told her I never had one and she looked at me funny so I just told her I was trans and she seemed kind of surprised. So I guess that's a good sign :)

I went to see a PA since my endo is out on sick leave. He wanted to know how they knew what dose of T to give me since there was no record of having it checked. I then had to explain why I have no gonads.

Good passes Abby and LordKAT! Anyway, who's going to argue with a lion?  ;D

While wearing a wig, someone in the ladie's room asked me if my hair was naturally curly.
Hey, you've reached Lauren's signature! If you have any questions, want to talk, or just need a shoulder to cry on, leave me a message, and I'll get back to you.

If that really is you in the photo I don't see any room for doubt.  You're obviously a pretty woman - no argument.

Same thing happened to me. Exact same thing in the ER. Then when they admitted me to ICU the lady asked why I was on Spiro because she was on it too for hormonal imbalances, but she wanted to know why my dose was so high. I told her I'm trans and she was like "What? Explain this to me.." .. I had to tell her I was MtF before she even got past her confusion. She then went on to say how she treated another MtF individual saying something like "I really admire him", however she never messed up on the pronoun with me, she didn't even come close to slipping on them. The other nurse that was in the room had her eyebrows raised saying "You look good boo! You look really good. You look better than me!"

This was in the ICU at 3:30 am with no makeup, a medical gown on, with my heart racing at 188 BPM in a very trans aware city. It kinda gave me a little more confidence lol.
To dream of the person you would like to be is to waste the person you are.

You know you pass when you pass, even to other trans women.
I had a trans woman at the TDOR event I took part in tell me that she had no idea I was trans.

I had my own ER story just the other day. I went in early in the morning due to excruciating abdominal pain (turned out to be a kidney stone).

The nurse was reviewing my medication and asked "Estrace, that's an estrogen isn't it?"

Me: "Yes"
Her: "Do you have a uterus?"
Me: "No, I'm a male to female transexual"
Her (angrily): "When we asked if you have any related medical conditions you should have mentioned that!"

Later on when I went for a CT scan I was asked if there was any chance that I was pregnant followed by when my last period was.

I posted about this in a different thread, but I guessed it could do well in here as well.

A couple of days ago I needed to go to the bank right after an electrolysis session. So I walk up to the cashier with a half bearded (and half red) face and hand her a check with my old male name on it. I tell her that I've recently changed my name and ask if I can still cash the check. She looks at me. Looks at the name on the check. And turns to her colleague to say "She's received a check with the wrong name on it, do you know what to do about it?"

When you give a talk on representation of transgender topics in popular media at a diversity conference and the audience think you're cis. :)

I already posted this in the  "What made you happy today?", but I think it fits here as well.

For the record, I used to play bass for this guy back in college  ;D

A bit of the opposite at one TV/TG group I went to.  A friend was asked if she was full time.  As I said later, the correct answer would have been "Yes - from birth".

T-women can make assumptions too.

I'm Ftm and this actually happens to me often lol: my favorite kind of you know you just passed moment is when I introduce myself to someone as being trans, and they respond with 'Why do you want to be a girl?!'

Nice!  After outing yourself as trans they still can't see it!  The only excuse they have is the assumption that "trans" always means "MtF".
