I've been on spiro and estradiol for 3 weeks. I've been experiencing nipple soreness and itchiness on just my left breast. My right nipple is a bit sore, but nowhere near as much as my left and hasn't really been itchy. Has anyone else experienced this?

Jill F

Quite often I notice that one is more tender than the other.  I'll bet in the coming weeks you'll notice the other one, then neither, then both.  I wouldn't start to worry unless this happens for months at a time.

Agree with Jill. It's actually common for breasts to grow at different rates, and is one of the big things cis girls worry about during puberty. I believe that, in most cases, breasts rarely for a perfect mirror of each other. But yeah, if it persists for months and you're only experiencing actual growth on one side then definitely ask your doc about it.

Emily,

Agree with both above.  Would add that it sin't uncommon for one to be slightly larger than the other.  My left is slightly larger than the right.  Makes bra sizing fun....

Hugs,

Jen
To move forward is to leave behind that which has become dear. It is a call into the wild, into becoming someone currently unknown to us. For most, it is a call too frightening and too challenging to heed. For some, it is a call to be more than we were capable of being, both now and in the future.

This is completely true with ciswomen as well. Don't worry about it too much. And don't be afraid, if one does end up slightly bigger than the other, to get a custom fit bra. I'd say they're worth it.

I was getting slight achy feelings last week, but more on the right side. Then I started Spiro a week ago and haven't gotten it on either side. :'(

It will happen and you will know!

Car doors have a strange attraction for developing boobs and Oh does it make you get a padded bra!

Thank you, ladies! It had me a bit worried. They seem to be about the same size right now. Hoping it stays that way.

Ms Grace

As I understand it, except in rare instances, breasts will ultimately end up almost the exact same size as each other. Technically it's actually abnormal for them to be exactly the same size believe it or not! The difference is usually negligible anyway.

Emily, you're describing exactly what happened to me after three weeks :) The left breast (I call her 'Leftie') started growing first and started itching first. At about 11ish weeks she's still a bit bigger than her sister ('Rightie', last name 'Cuddlygirl'), but the right twin has a slightly rounder and more breastly shape.

Edited addition:

My seat belt is currently my arch nemesis :icon_yikes: And I'm much too scared of the car door to get too close to it

Breasts have a habit of getting in the way don't they? I have to wonder sometimes how women with large breasts deal with them, what do they make it more complicated to do?

I was worried that growing pains were on one side only. After about three weeks they evened out. I had never noticed how many times my cat stepped on my boob before.

I think I felt something under my left nipple last night! It's hard to tell, but I'm hoping.. And I also felt slight aches and pains on both sides a few times. *crosses fingers *
