Humans are complex, it's all entirely possible. Some people think a MtF lesbian is weird enough, even though it's quite a simple concept.

A friend of mine is pansexual, but she considers herself a lesbian, but also genderless most of the time, and still sometimes sees herself with a male persona and likes gay guys as well but loves being a woman, and being with another woman as a woman. She doesn't consider herself trans-anything though. Some people are just complicated, multi-layered, and contradictory. As long as you can come to terms with it all and make peace with the conflicting elements, I don't see that there's really an issue. You don't necessarily need to label yourself.

Absolutely agree, labels are really shortcuts to try and explain a full pattern of thoughts that often contain contradictions and dont always follow logical conclusions.  its not just you, its a common occurrencet, human identities are quite incongruous when compared to others.

Hey Steph,

I think there could be a lot of reasons that you have those feelings.  What's important is that you find out why you are experiencing those thoughts.  It's very hard for us to get at the core of something like this and believe only deep self retrospection will help you find your answer.

One thing that may help you, what's the difference in your mind between a gay male and a transwoman?  And why is being one more desirable to you than the other?  You don't have to write an answer, but think about it for yourself.  And let the answer come from within and use your own train of thought.  Sometimes silly little questions like these can lead us to bigger revelations about ourselves and help us find what we are searching for.  Like I said there are many reasons why you could feel this way, but it's important that you find out what it means for you.  Good luck with the continuation of your self discovery! :)
