I got this idea from TaoRaven's thread.  Here's her explanation:

Anyway....there were a few new additions to the company, and so our district manager thought it would be fun to play the old "two truths and a lie" game. If you're unfamiliar with it, it goes like this....when it's your turn, you state three things about yourself, two of which are true, and one of which is a lie, and the group tries to guess which one might be the lie.

The way I thought it might work here is this: whoever wants to posts their 2 truths and 1 lie.  People can then post which 1 they think is the lie.  The OP comes back after 24 hours the next day and posts the real answer.  Taking turns would be too slow so everyone can take a turn any time (as long as they don't have a current 2T1L post up).

Make sure to identify which person's entry you're guessing.

Not sure if this is going to work, but why not give it a try? If you are reading this, go ahead and post something. ;)

Edit: It doesn't have to be exact, just sometime the next day (see bold text above).

I'll give people a chance to read the above before I take a turn.  Go ahead and start anytime!  I'll come back before too long and post my 1st post.

Yay! A contestant!  ;D

Thanks for playing J!

I'm guessing J's 3rd answer is the lie because it's the only answer that appears easy to believe.

I might as well enter the game while I'm here. hehe

1. I am a lesbian.
2. I have lived on a boat.
3. I generally prefer British TV to American TV.

I lost my virginity at the age of 16, in a 1969 Pontiac Firebird   :o

hehe Cool.  8)

You're supposed to wait a day before giving the answer though. ;)

I think that your living on a boat is a lie - lets see what you post tomorrow
My go:
1. My brother was the founder of LGBT in my city state
2. I represented my country in the Irommanworld Chamionships in Hawaii
3. I have been married 4 times
When we first start our journey the perception and moral values all dramatically change in wonderment. As we evolve further it all becomes normal again but the journey has changed us forever.

LOL!  I should read the instructions better.  I saw the original post about the "coming out as trans" at work.

This is a tough entry.  Hmm...I'm going with...almost at random, #1.

Wild toss here, but I'm going with #3, I bet you don't watch TV at all!

1. I once peed in both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans at the same time.
2. I own 8 computers, 9 monitors and only 1 keyboard.
3. I have spent 11 days in jail.

Hi Joules! *Hug*

I'll be back later to give my answer, but I'm guessing...#2 is the lie.  The first fact sounds too much like a bar bet and well, it might be the third, but c'mon, only 11 days? hehehe ;)

2. I have lived on a boat.
3. I generally prefer British TV to American TV.

1. This is the lie.  Actually, I'm bisexual, leaning toward a preference for men. :)
2. True.  It was when I was 4 and 5 (had my 5th b-day on the boat). We lived on a sailboat and sailed the entire U.S. east coast and went to the Bahamas.
3. True.  I don't watch a lot of TV, but I do watch it.  A few of the shows I like are Doctor Who, Torchwood, and Top Gear (not just a guy show, they are funny).

Me?  ??? Respect for doing things right? Muahahahaha!  :icon_evil_laugh:

I guess we're both good liars. :P

1. My brother was the founder of LGBT in my city state. True, I'm still in stealth mode and he is really famous.
2. I represented my country in the Irommanworld Chamionships in Hawaii. True did it 2 times and laso many triathlons
3. I have been married 4 times. LIE. I've only been married three times

Joules- guess you #3 theory works on me
and I thinky your number 1. has to be a lie. Logically, you can't pee in two oceans at the same time.

Split stream?
Discord, I'm howlin' at the moon
And sleepin' in the middle of a summer afternoon
Discord, whatever did we do
To make you take our world away?

Discord, are we your prey alone,
Or are we just a stepping stone for taking back the throne?
Discord, we won't take it anymore
So take your tyranny away!

You can pee on the Atlantic and Pacific more directly at Cape Horn, Chile, where they meet. ;)
I guessed wrong, but if they're all lies, maybe not. hehehe

Okay, two more truths and one more lie.

1. I am a blood relative to the only person to have ever been the president of a country and the governor of two of the United States.

2. I took my first college-level classes at the age of 13, as part of a gifted child program.

3. I climbed to the top of the derrick on a deep sea research vessel, rolling at sea, so I could see the Galapagos Islands.

3! Though if true, that's awesome!

Going with my current method: picking the most vanilla answer. ;)

I took my first college-level class at the age of 12.

Sam Houston came from the hills of eastern Tennessee, Blount County; some of my close relatives still carry the Houston name.  Log cabin types.  He was the Governor of both Tennessee and Texas, and the President of the Republic of Texas.

I worked three summers while in college on a deep sea research vessel.  Climbing to the top of the derrick, while underway, was one of the scariest things I have ever done.  I now have a keen appreciation of what the tall ship sailors experienced, and why they lived (or died) by the adage, "One hand for the ship; one hand for yourself."
