I guess it's time to say hi myself.  I've been lurking for a long time, reading what I could and trying to make sense out of things.  I'm 38 and married to a great woman and friend.  I am trans- something... when I figure out the second part I'll let you know  :) .  It's a long, drawn out story, but I'm diagnosed now, on HRT for a couple months, and I really don't know what to do next.

I guess I'm hoping to find someone who has been in my shoes before to help me figure it all out.  That might be a tall order though, as I'm a bit aspy, and I'll readily admit I won't talk much until I start to get to know the people I'm around.  It typifies my social life, needing to talk but won't because I'm afraid to.  Maybe I'll find a way sometime :)

*hug*  Welcome, Sharon.  Susan's is the place where I talk when I need to *know* someone has been in my shoes before.  There are so many wonderful trans men/women/beings on this board with such wonderful experience willing to share.

Feel free to start a topic anywhere.  Title it appropriately, spelling out the part you are looking for help with, like "Craving Cocopuffs during HRT" and I can almost guarantee you'll have a number of responses quickly, complete with insights and thoughtful analysis.  We do it because we know what it's like to feel alone, to not have information, and to be searching.

You're not alone, Sharon.  You're never alone, as long as you are willing to reach out and let others see who you are.

*hug*

I hope you find a home here, like I did.  :)

A big warm welcome to the family! Looks like you have found a way to talk now. This is a great family and I know you will be a chatterbox in no time at all. This family has a way of doing that to a person. All the help and information you need is here and provided by people giving it to you by personal knowledge. We are all in various stages and can help from start to finish and everything in between. I look forward to getting to know you better as time goes by. Here is a "BIG HUG" to start your journey off right. :)

A couple years maybe?  Lord knows I don't remember hehe.  I only came around when things were rough in my head, trying to find a way out of the mess.  I'm still looking for a thread like that and I don't think it exists LOL
